"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I met a girl a few weeks ago on a night out slept together 1st night.
She lives 150 miles away but we get on really well so lots of texting a few long phone calls. We met up half way i didn't have a car so after our evening together she drove me 70 miles in the wrong direction to spent time with me, seen each other once more since.

On Sunday i didn't message her all day, so Monday lunch time she rings me saying is everything ok? i said yea just busy ill message you later. Since then she has become very stand offish and reply's aren't like before. Reply's getting slower as well.

Just wondered if anybody had any advice on this...

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I think she's feeling what we call buyer's remorse (she feel like she's been used only for $ex). You set a pattern with texting her all the time, having long conversations on the phone and since you aren't doing those things anymore, she's questioning your true intentions.

If you plan to have her as a FWB, then you need to contact her once in a while too and don't appear to standoffish (instead of saying I'm busy, lie if you have too ''My apology, I took my mom to dinner and then shopping, how are you")

If you were just planning to have a ONS, well you don't have anything else to do

Hope it helps

Well, no matter how busy you are or ill, you can always take these few seconds to send a message. I guess it hurted her that you couldn't take time to do so.. So, if you like her make sure you show her you are sorry and do make things better :)

Once you have secured high IL with a woman, in my opinion, it's OK to message more than you might otherwise, but never do it like 100x a day or anything.

I am seeing a woman now who is like this. She wants constant messaging back and fourth, all day if I allowed it. The way I handle this is I will tell her something along the lines of: "Hey things are crazy today but I will talk to you around 5:15pm after work". Then go silent. Then message her after work as promised.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
