you know, a lot is talked with regards to confidence, but i still dont think people really understand it or understand how to get it.
confidence in life is EVERYTHING. i mean, its not just 95% of things. its 100%.
confidence basically equates to owning your life. to taking 100% responsibility for it. a confident person is one who doesn't think about their strengths and weaknesses in comparison to others. they believe in who they are, believe that they will continue to grow into who they are meant to be, and no one or nothing in this world can convince them that they have a lesser value than anyone else.
now you might be saying, 'oh come on though. you can't expect me to be confident if im 40 pounds over weight and theres some chic that guys would kill to sleep with."
heres the thing though. recognizing that you dont have a shot with a chic is fine. thats just basic reality. a midget probably isnt going to land an NBA all star.
but that has nothing to do with confidence. confidence would be saying either
1) so shes hot and we probably wont hook up, so what. im still a cool person. if shes a cool person we'll still get along.
or
2) you know, i dont like being 40 pounds overweight and i KNOW that i can lose that weight. so im goign to start exercising and watching what i eat. i want to lose 40 pounds, and because i want to, its 100% guaranteed that im going to.
when you have confidence you then will develop the motivation to change your life into what you want. to unleash THE PRIZE in you. because if inside, mentally, YOU are the THE PRIZE, and your outside isn't matching that, you will change it. when you believe something 100%, the external world will bend to your will.
its taken me a long time to come to this realization.

i believe reality is maleable just like in the matrix. i believe when you see that it is YOUR MIND that controls your reality. not your body, not other people, not your job. When you believe this with 100% of your being, absolutely NOTHING is impossible.
well, i wouldn't suggest jumping out of a plane with no parachute or anything. I'm talking in relation to the bell curve of human potential. If you want to be in that 10% of humanity that accomplishes great things its not only possible, its INEVITABLE if your mind is clear and focused.
anyway, just felt like writing a little blurb on confidence.
Im 32 and was not raised knowing what confidence was. and i find im still finding out its true nature. I don't believe its an easy process - the process of believing in yourself 100%. but i have seen that as my confidence has grown, as i believe in myself more and more, the world around me bends to my will so easily.
hard to describe, but very much like that matrix scene. its like life is a piece of metal, and without confidence, no matter how hard i try, i simply cannot bend it. but suddenly, when im in perfect harmony with a state of confidence, that piece of metal just melts like butter.
anyway, happy holiday guys.
