Ok, if we could all just chill out for long enough to let the smoke settle on this thread, there actually is an important issue seething beneath all this venom just waiting for someone to lift it tenderly into the light of day.
Ok, I guess the issue that rakishness wants to raise is this.
Is confidence good for getting the women who already like you -
OR
Does it have an actual causal impact on the girls who like you in the first place?
First off, I want to just get something out there, which is this. The whole issue about emo guys/goths or whatever is actually very interesting.
Positivity and confidence are TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
I really hate using capitals. It makes me feel like a screechy *****. I wish I could, through the use of eloquent prose, communicate my intent and conceptual content with perspicacity and aplomb. At the same time, sometimes, only capitals will do.
Confidence is not about being chirpy. Some of the most unbelievable naturals I have ever seen - including a man who had something like 3 threesomes with stunning girls (all different chicks) on 3 consecutive weekends (yes, really) was a goth.
He was also mind-meltingly shallow. His job? He was a computer games playtester. I **** you not.
When this guy walked through a room, it was like drawing a powerful magnet through a field of iron filings - women just flocked to him. Even ones who didn't want to. It was weird. It was like watching Angelina Jolie gatecrash a Star Trek convention.
Confidence is not about being positive. It is about expressing everything - EVERYTHING - with confidence.
So that means if you feel like ****, you say it confidently. If you think that life is meaningless, you say it confidently. If you're a ****ing goth (God, I hate Goths soooooooo much) and you express that confidently - you will get laid like a rock star.
Confidently expressing vulnerabilities is one of the most attractive things a man can do.
Make sure they're real though. Otherwise you'll just come across like a freak.
But also - remember - expressing something does not mean you are getting lost in it. You can overcome your vulnerabilities functionally, but they're still with you. You just work around them.
Like a man with one leg. Functionally, he can learn to move as fast as he did with two legs. He can't grow his leg back.
If you're fat, or you're bald, or short, or you look like the back of a bus - don't get lost in that ****. It will only be an irrelevance when you make it an irrelevance to you. Conquer your weaknesses for you, as a person, however you can. Weakness and negativity are two different things.
But negativity, strongly and honestly expressed, can be extremely attractive.
Why?
Because anything that is strongly and honestly expressed can be extremely attractive.
Confidence is not positivity.
Negativity is not weakness.
Confidence is defiance. It is courage. It is the part of you that would fight through fire and hell for something you know is right. It is your strength, your real strength of character, honestly expressed.
And that is the most attractive thing that a man can do.
Period.
