Are you using Mozilla Firefox and do you not shut your computer off all the time after using it?

I ask because there is currently a memory leak bug in Mozilla Firefox that causes slowdown in people's comps who leave the browser open and the computer on for like a week at a time.

Supposedly this memory drain issue will be fixed in the next big browser version change for Firefox.

my computer is really weird.
sometimes it's slow, sometimes it's fast.
it's random.
for example, once i restarted it, and it wouldn't even open the internet cause it was so slow.
another time, it was lightning fast.

i dunno wut ur problem might be though.
sounds like a virus?
how much ram do you have and what kinds of stuff are you doing on ur computer?

My computer has never become gay before. Maybe you should delete all the gay porn on your computer, that might be a start.

Strange problem to have though. Gay computers are a rarety these days. Yours must be defective. My best advice is to go buy a Dell and ask the salesmen you want your new computer to be straight. He'll lead u in the best direction.

For you guys posting computer problems, some basic information from you would be helpful. Like: What is your operating system, what is your CPU's speed, how much ram do you have?

Do you have an anti-virus program? Do you run a scan at least once a week? Are you running anti-spyware programs at least once a week. Do you defrag your hard drive at least once a week?

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Sounds like a power supply problem.... does it blue-screen first or just reboot? PSU problems will often just shut down and reboot. Did you put in a new graphics card? Newer cards eat a lot of juice so your PSU may not have enough amps to push a new card

I run Vista on my newest system, zero issues, no slowdowns, it's solid. It's a pretty loaded Dell XPS m1730 laptop though.

EDIT:

Funny enough, what I use Vista for is to run:

  • VMWARE sessions, which are running either XP or Linux
  • Games
  • A few CPU intensive apps, like Adobe PS CS3 and Adobe Premier

Wow I've noticed this lately when I leave a web page open for extended periods of time. Thanks

No problem mpimpin.

Unfortunately the problem is even worse for me with my sh!tty celeron processor. :(

Hopefully the Mozilla people fix their browser soon so I can leave IE far behind.

No, the point was the Vista can be fine on appropriate hardware and he doesn't necessarily need a new OS installation if he's using Vista. Don't let your own insecurities screw up your perception.

Early Vista adopters had to put up with young driver code and such, but the current support for 32 bit Vista is just fine and if your hardware is modern (shipped with Vista) Vista will likely be just fine.

Also it has a longer life ahead of it before it becomes end-of-lifed and unsupported.

Ok im using windows vista basic 2.20ghz, 2gig ram.

I think the problem is to do with firefox because kontrollerx guessed that i use it and leave it on alot.

now to anyone whos obsessed with my gay computer is only showing how gay they are themselves.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Um, yes.

The Mozilla codeline has it's own set of vulnerabilities and now that it's actually popular they are being exploited ... so.
