Comment on Doc Love's "Doughboy Over Mr. Buff"

I am very pleased that Doc Love put Bart in his place.
Bart has no conscience--to think he would try to steal
away a woman from a lesser attractive man!
It also gives me great comfort that looks aren't every-
thing since I, myself, am not that great in the physically
attractive department (I'm 5' 11" and weigh 235 lbs.,
although I'm trying to lose weight).
Good for you Doc Love; this most recent article was
very encouraging!!

It wasn't so much that Bart wanted to steal the girl away from the guy as he just couldn't grasp the concept of a HB going out with a physically unattractive(to him) guy. I also think DL did a good job of explaining Bart's folly of placing so much importance on looks, and correctly diagnosed his narcisstic tendencies

Well as one who is physically fit, I must admit that I wonder why some really hb's are with pretty dumpy looking guys. However, I don't go around trying to prove I am better than them.

Unless you understand the dynamics of a relationship, you can't prejudge it based on superficial reasons. Maybe, like DL says, the guy has a great personality or just makes the girl feel good.

Yea I seem to get annoyed when I see it too, because I am physically fit. However, it is all due to my frustration w/girls. If I was in a relationship or with a hb, I would probably care less if an unattractive guy is with a hb. I would probably be like, GOOD FOR HIM!!
