"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

i was thinking of finding some proper female friends who do my course (currently have none)
now, i know how to approach, i read the thread in the archive
pertty much try to get EC and sit right next to her, extend hand, hi i'm freddie, and let the convo roll on
now i'm not interested in any relationship or banging or anything like that, just some social proof and some smart company
what should i do after the class?
and should i like seek her out next class/
what's the deelio ppl
cheers

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Well if you aren't interested in banging or a relationship, I don't see what the problem is. You're just trying to make friends. Be friendly. If you're in college, you shouldn't need help just making friends. If you want social proof, don't be a dumbass and be nice to everyone.

Hmm... Well Freddie I haven't read the thread you speak of, or if I did it was too damn long ago and I just forgot it, but I don't know if you've got the correct approach. I've been a college student for three years now and let me tell you what I do.

I normally sit by them but not right next to them - it seems to send off a desperation vibe or something. I just don't think it's a real good idea. (but if a girl keeps sitting by you or next to you then it's obviously a good thing.) The hand shake is a bad idea. What I reccomend doing is accidently forgetting your pencil or some sh!t and leaning over and asking her for one. During this exchange smile at her, look her in the eye, and make a joke or something like that. Say maybe, "Heh you know, I can remember my notebook, I always buy the right books, and I can even remember to pee before these long a$$ classes, but I never remember a god damn pencil..." If she likes you she'll probably laugh, smile, give you the look. You know what I mean. If you get the good vibe from her, continue the conversation. "What's your major?" "Heh mine too, seeing as this journalism class..." "Where are you from?" "Oh really? I lived out there for a few years..."

After you break this barrier start sitting by her everyday and talking to her. I usually like to have a girl I sit with in everyone of my classes if it is at all possible. Eventually a weekend will roll up that you feel is opportune, ask her what she is doing, tell her YOU MIGHT give her a call if your plans fall through, and if you don't think you're looking to desperate or loserish then call her. Or better yet, wait for a group project to roll up - You should get one assigned fast because professors in college like to give their students a chance to get to know each other. Go over to her apartment or dorm room to do it, wait till her roommate is not there and fvckin let one thing lead to another.

Good luck in college buddy - it's a real fun time. I think the most important thing to remember about the college game is that basically no girl really matters. Don't give a fvck about any of them because there are so damn many...

my only problem is that i have friends (guys) in all my classes, and it's hard to break away from em without seeming like a ****head, if u get what i mean
they're not real friends, just lecture buddies from last semester (ppl in my degree)
nonetheless, i was thinking of strolling in late, and just scoping things out and then sitting straight next to the chick i wanted to befriend, and open with "so did i miss anything important?"

how's that for a stratergy? any additions / subtractions
and how do i still introduce myself in such a scenario so it doesn't seem staged
thanks

You should scope in EARLY, sit down beside a HB, and ask that. Now that would be smooth ;)

As for meeting people, you hvae to realize everyone wants to meet people as well. Alot of peopel aren't satisfied with the number of people they know and would like to broaden their horizons, especially in college.

Get the ball rolling quick before other guys get there before you.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

i don't sit in the seat immediately beside them, i sit one seat away if possible. taking the seat next to hers when there are 100 empty ones might freak her out a bit or give that "i'm going to hit on you" vibe...something i personally like to avoid when just chatting someone up

if its before class, i'll just say whats up to her (or them), and then start talking about the class...i leave the names til later (during the lecture, having them whisper to you or write it on a piece of paper makes it feel a little more scandalous)

so yeah...when before class, i just make sure to always keep the convo going, those awkward silences are deadly...there should be plenty to talk about, esp in a school town...fav bar, what you did last weekend, where you live, etc etc.

btw strolling in late is not always a bad thing. when youre walking around looking for a seat, a lot of ppl are secretly looking at you, perfect time to show great body language

However good an action plan you might have for yourself you've got to remember that first impressions have been key...

If the girls on your course already got you down as a geek then it don't matter if you turn up next week and sit next to them an talk the talk, they've categorised you and are gonna be very suspect and not too receptive... more likely they'll have a laugh at you with their girlfriends on the course after, lol...

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Whatever Dude don't listen to Ashley Chuckles. There are so many women in college and every one is so wrapped up in their own sht they could careless about judging other people. I have a question, why the hell dont you want a fvck buddy? I use the girls in class for conv but I usually go to the "mall" (thats what its called at my university) or library to pick up. It really doesnt go over well, if they are freshmen, used to the old high school sweetheart thing (sitting next to each other, passing notes, that stuff). If you want a "friend" goto a damn club, there are only few hundred in each college.
