Feminism apparently has such a strangehold on the mangina mind that when a woman is even half-right, she is to be silenced.
Carry on.
If you click on the link in the quote, Suzanne said,I thought of those men recently while reading Suzanne Venker's addled rant against feminist women as the source of the unhappiness that saturates male-female relationships. I thought of how painful it is when you are used to having everything to now have only 80%. What a loss! Poor us! Equality sucks when you've been on top -- and men have been on top for so long that we think it's a level playing field.
Women aren’t women anymore.
To say gender relations have changed dramatically is an understatement. Ever since the sexual revolution, there has been a profound overhaul in the way men and women interact. Men haven’t changed much – they had no revolution that demanded it – but women have changed dramatically. In a nutshell, women are angry. They’re also defensive, though often unknowingly. That’s because they’ve been raised to think of men as the enemy. Armed with this new attitude, women pushed men off their pedestal (women had their own pedestal, but feminists convinced them otherwise) and climbed up to take what they were taught to believe was rightfully theirs.
Now the men have nowhere to go.
It's not quite that women view men as the enemy, but feminist women want to be a man. They project the traits they find attractive in men and think, ever so wrongly, we men would be attracted to our mirror image in some Carl Jungian way. You need look no further than ESPN. Almost every chick reporter or anchor on ESPN, so it seems, has a manjaw. As Otto Weininger once said, in his book Sex & Character (1903), the one book that Pook burned, "A woman's demand for emancipation and her qualification for it are in direct proportion to the amount of maleness in her... Those so-called 'women' who have been held up to admiration in the past and present, by the advocates of woman's rights, as examples of what women can do, have almost invariably been what I have described as sexually intermediate forms."To say gender relations have changed dramatically is an understatement. The god of biomechanics. Michael Noer, too.Who says we can't be happy with fully equal female colleagues and coworkers? Who says we can't enjoy the joys of shared parenthood? Who says that we are biologically programmed to be both rapacious testosterone-driven animals and lazy remote-hogging couch potatoes unable to lift a finger in the kitchen?
