Just gone up a stone, but I've just read pook's "skinny guys read this..." thread, and I feel like I've just gone from poor to mediocre. Please feel free to jump in at any point to offer advice or criticism.

2nd Jan 2005

Weight- 135 pounds
Cardio- None
Weights- 3 times a week
Supplements- Whey Protien, 2 scoops once a day

Problems: Getting enough food in me, lack of time- all the classic BS. Should be driving within a week, pending passing my test on wed. That will help a lot. Also I frequently seem to "give up" on the whey. Pah, at the moment it's all about focus and drive. Should have done this a long time ago.

Diet: I can't be arsed to calculate my carb and protien totals, but every week day i eat as follows:

7:00: Cerial/ 500ml of potato and noodle soup

2:00: Sandwich (lunch in the weekdays is a terrible area for me, *must* sort it out)

6:00 Cerial/ Potato/nodle soup

8:00 Varied dinner

9:00 Pasta & bacon with a protien shake.

I know the information above gives no help for giving me advice, but it's more so i can try to sort out areas of it. Weekends are much the same only around 2:00 I get considerably more food in me.

Anyway, weight is now: 137 3/4 pounds
increase of: 2 3/4 pounds.

Problems: Going back to college, and finding lunch hard to do. Argh. Am well on my way for a +140 pound target by the 20th

Ok, things are going well enough at the moment.

I think I should also come up with some cunning hi-carb and protein snack ideas... I'll keep people posted on that.

I now also have a victory ("****, now I have to cut up...") point of 180 pounds. Hurrah, only about 50 pounds to go!

I love being determined about something, my best mate has joined me with the weights, finally, so now I have yet more people to jock talk with. Sweet.:D

just want ya to know that water weight can flucuate your weight up to 5 lbs.

keep eating bub! moar food! ahhhhhh

just eat anytime you are hungry :D and don't stop eating till you are full.

Though I know why. My diet was unstructured and unsustainable. So here, after some hectic library sessions, is Alex's fool proof weight gain diet for ectomorphs of around 130 pounds! Hurrah! Got most of the info from a book called "Eating for Sport", so big up that book.

Breakfast: *Will Require 1/2 an hour of your time- no skimping!*
Bowl of cerial
Bacon Sarnie/Beans/eggs/black pudding
Fruit
(For me +medication, flax oil, creatine and a protien shake (2 scoops))

1st Break: *prepared the previous night*
1 round of sanwitches, tune mayo, salmon, or salami

Lunch:
1 round of sandwitches
500ml+ of hi carb soup (eg. chicken potato, chichen noodle)
ps. Don't mix stock cubes, just a little cooking tip:rolleyes:.

Tea:
Soup/pizza/pasta or burger/chicken breasts
Protien shake (2 scoops)

Dinner:
Heh heh, whatever my darling mummy cooks me! If you've grown out of this **** though then just eat something you didn't at tea.

1 hour before sleeping:
Small snack such as a smoothie, a bacon sarnie, some fruit
ps. No protien or drinking a load of water, you'll be pissing all night and wake up pissed off, hence doing protien at tea.

There, that's what I'm doing, hopefully next week will be going in the right direction again.

i dont understand some of the meals, are you Eating EVERYTHING you listed? or are those optionals like one day eat this another this?

like for breakfast u have "Bacon Sarnie/etc/etc/etc/etc

as for pre bedtime. i would eat cottage cheese. But yah i guess maybe i shouldnt drink all that water at pre bed meal.... thats why i ALWAYS woke up in the middle of the night, LOL.

to clarify: items separated by / are options, so eggs or bacon or etc or etc.

It's really doable. Try not to touch chocolate or crips, any junk really, as the above still requires quite an appetite, and junk will just ruin it.

Not bothered though, just found out medication i was taking was making me **** all my weight out. Now that has been changed I should go in the other direction now! Hurray!

Finally!
Ok, l have sorted out my medical problems- for the time being- and instantly my weight starts to go up again. Great, I just need to get back on the structured diet I was on before my confidenc ein it was shattered. I really hate it when everything goes to **** and you can't do a damned thing about it. Still, I'm English, so my gut reaction is just to go "Weey! We're so ****!" but it still winds me up on occasion.

Anyway, I need to post more.

Hmmmm.
