Could it be a indicator of poor form? This 'clicking' sound only happens when I do ATG, just before my hams touch my calves and it only happens in my left knee. Need some advice here, don't want to risk blowing my knee again

My right knee has problems, I always feel a little bit pain in a very specific spot within and I've had it for years, the amount of weight has little influence on the pain and it doesn't always do that.

Whenever I do curls or presses my right elbow always clicks. I can feel the little "pop" when it does that. Form doesn't solve anything. It could just be a ****ty designed joint. It happens, we're humans and we grow, we're not precision engineered like a machine. We're not perfect unfortunately. If you feel it's a problem then find a good chiropractor and have them check it out.

How do you warm up for squats? Do you wear knee sleeves?
First I stretch my glutes, hams and quads. Then I proceed as follows:

1x5 Bar
1x3 60lbs
1x2 100lbs
Workset: 3x5 135lbs

I don't wear knee wraps as well. There's no pain but that 'clicking' sound when I go ATG. I previously injured my left knee doing squats if that helps, knees drfited in when I was coming up but I have that solved.

@Alle Gory: Could be a sh!tty joint since I had this clicking problem ages before I started squatting. However, it irks me that some meathead thinks going ATG is going to blow my knee out and gives me the 'parallel is better than full' talk after he hears my knee click.

My ankles click walking up stairs ...

As long as there isn't acute pain, it's okay.

My warmups look something like this:

(KGS)

10xbar
5x40
3x60
1x80
1x100
1xETC...

until workset

5 x 75%
5 x 85%
5+ x 95%

As quicksilver said, no pain, no problem. It's air in the fluid in the joint that makes the sound. The sound itself is no indication of injury.

Just a word of advice. I'd recommend against not doing static stretches before lifting. Save them for after the exercise. I warm up by walking on the treadmill for ~5 min to get the blood flowing. Then, I do some dynamic stretching.

+1, don't stretch before you lift. And get a pair of knee sleeves, especially now that it's getting colder out.
Okay noted. By colder do you mean the weather? Cause where I live its hot all year round lol

Look up Magnificent Mobility and do dynamic stretches before you lift.

As for your particular problem, try doing the face the wall squat. If you fail at that, your squat technique needs some work.
