Hello,
I am currently in my junior year. I am an honors student with consistant As and Bs. My problem is that I don't feel like participating in either my U.S. History class, or my Chemistry class.
My history teacher constantly goes off topic and while lecturing, has the inability to make eye contact. He is constantly staring at the back wall and whenever his eyes "sweep" across the room, he shuts them very tightly. I'm very annoyed by his teaching and I just don't feel like trying in this class anymore.
Chemistry: my teacher is very smart, don't get me wrong, it's just...a number of teachers have a difficult time getting their knowledge out in a way that students can actually understand. Secondly, many teachers have difficulties making class interesting and have difficulty maintaining the attention of the students.
I've come to the conclussion that "I don't care." I am an avid photographer and am hoping to major in some form of photography. So I have come about the mentality that these classes aren't going to help me. Of course, they are going to hurt me significantly if I don't get my act together.
Anyone have any suggestions on self-motivation? Because...that's where I can tell I need improvement for those classes..or, any other suggestions?
Thanks.
-Tim
