Well I'll put it bluntly... I'm 18, just started University/College, doing Engineering. I've never had a girlfriend, and I'm a virgin.

I've been reading from these forums for quite a bit, and my knowledge, I feel is sound, but I have only recently been going out and trying to get anywhere with it.

Now, I know for a fact that I'm fairly good looking, I go to the gym 3 times a week, and play rugby and do martial arts (although I dislocated my shoulder last Sunday so that doesn't help...). I'm going to a top 10 university in England. What I'm trying to say is I don't know what has stopped me from being like every other guy out there.

The reason I'm starting this log, is because it's a new start for me, and I want to improve this particular part of my life. I want you guys to help me: tell me what I'm doing wrong, what I should be doing, give me encouragement and criticism.

Anyway I've been at Uni for a week tomorrow, so here are a few FRs:
By the way I've been getting wasted every night cause it's fresher's week so I can't remember everything so some talk I can't remember will be replaced with ####... and probably didn't perform too well either but anyway...

Last Thursday:

In the common room, getting ready to go out with other people from my hall. We were wearing shirts with our block written on them.

I was standing behind my block-mates, and some girls laughed at the fact that we were in P(enis) block. Mature I know.

I said, "Hey don't laugh our block is amazing",
They said ####,
I asked them what block they were in,
They said special block so I asked them special in what way...
They said ####, then one of them turned round and said my name's Spesh (6.5 maybe)

Later on I saw Spesh again and said,
"You said your name's Spesh right, what's so special about you then?"
She said ##########
"You know why I'm special? I've got special powers, like I'm psychic. I can tell what colour your pants are.... they're polkadot...
Her: You're gonna tell me to prove they're not
Maybe she's psychic?
Then I felt stupid so I laughed it off and left her

I told my mate to use stupid chat-up lines as a laugh as well to make it more entertaining for us. You'll see what later.

Anyway I can't remember what order these events were but it doesn't really matter.. the only difference is my soberness levels.

Friend was talking to three girls, I walked up to him and he introduced me to them, they were fluffing (what's your name, what course you on, what block you in).
Then brunette 1(can't remember) asked why I came to *my unversity*,
I said: "Because you're here", everyone laughed, then brunette 2(7.5) said "What about me??" I said oh yea you too and you [pointing at her friend]. I probably should've said 'no not you' but oh well. Then I left them.

Later on..
I go up to a fresher helper (9, fine body, face is strange) and ask: "Ok can I ask you something? It's really important....... life or death situation............... bacon or ham?"
Her: "BACON!"
Me: "**** me too! *high five*"
She kisses me then starts rambling on about something we need to do later.. boring

Next:
Brunette 2 shouts my name from behind me, I couldn't remember who she was so I said: "Who are you?"
She says: "Brunette 2"
Me: "OHH from over there?"
Fluffy fluffle
Me: "Do you want to know what my super power is.. I'm psychic, I can tell what colour your pants are....polkadot"
Her: "No they're black"
Me: "Prove it!"
So she pulls her pants out lol..
Me: "What super powers do you have?"
Her: "Well I have double d breasts and some other ####"

Then her friends wanted her to leave so I pointed at my cheek, she kissed it, I pointed at my lips, she kissed it, then I got her number, not really sure how.

But throughout the night I saw her getting it on with about 3 other guys and although she was eyeing me a lot when we were nearby later, I thought **** that she's a slag.

By the way what do you guys think of girls if they're complete sluts..

Anyway:
I was sitting down with a mate texting someone when three girls from my halls sit in front of us, I notice it says on our shirts that one requirement is to 'Get some action' lol.

Anyway my friend tries to chat one up (8.5) but she gets bored in about 10 seconds, so I waved her round the table to my side, told her to turn around and said: "You know on our backs it says we need to... get some action?"

She started laughing, fluffles, somehow it turns out she's a second year and can speak Chinese so she tried to speak it to me for a bit, then realised she speaks Cantonese not Mandarin as i just stated... duh.

Can't remember what we spoke about, then her friends were leaving so she got my full name and said she'd add me on facebook even though she had a boyfriend. I didn't expect her to add me and she still hasn't so who gives a toss.

Don't think much happened that night, but I'm happy with how many approaches I did seeing as it was my first night, really. I'll post more in a second.

Anyway carrying on, I forgot about one approach on Thursday:

To some blonde (5.5, I thought she looked better from far away.. but anyway) Blah blah.. bacon or ham?

"I'm a vegetarian!" Laughing

I was like; **** **** **** and said:

"OK in that case, cauliflower or broccoli?"

"####"

"Me too! *High five* and left because I still felt stupid "


Anyway moving onto Friday

Not much happened today really.. that I can remember.

In a bar, I see someone (6) looking glumly at the floor whilst waiting for a drink.

Me: "You look bored!"
Her: "I know I'm just waiting for a drink I've been dancing too much my throat is dry."
I offered her a bit of my drink.
Her: "No it's OK I want some water"

Started talking about sport, I said I do TaeKwon-Do,
Her: "Oh I tried parkour for a bit, it's similar to TKD because of the flips and stuff."
####
Me: "We should start some parkour together, what's your number?"
Her: "Yeah we should!" *gives it*
Left Her.

Next:
Think I did some random approach but I can't remember anything so I don't know why I'm telling you guys lol but anyway.

Next:
Spoke to fresher helper again whilst getting a drink, she asked me to sit with her and her friends so I told my friend to sit with them and left them.

Got eyed by some girl should've spoke to her. That's my problem sometimes I see a good opportunity but I pass it and I don't know why.. it happened a lot last night. It's not a disaster like not approaching anyone.. but I miss out on a lot. Ideas anyone? Happened on the first day again, some 7.5 was standing with two guys, her arms crossed looking at the ground, whilst they were doing some stupid dance... Why didn't I just go up to her and say 'How are hey doing?'. Bleh

Next:
Facebook girl with boyfriend spots me later on and starts talking to me then spots her friend to I left her.

Then... I LOST MY ****ING WALLET! TYPICAL!!! On the second day of university, when I need it the most :box: It was on the way to a club too so I coulda done more work there.... I got really ticked off and ended up going home early. Although met a guy who is a bit of a player and am friends with him now so wingman maybe.

Saturday
Queueing up for the student union, talking to my flat mates, completely drunk from pre-drinks at our halls. Stunner (9, seriously everyone wants her at the moment), turns around
Her: "Are you guys flat-mates? Do you want a picture together"
We say yes
Her: "Oh no it didn't take the picture.. Oh no it won't work."
I take it from her and take a picture of her to see if it's working [and it is....]
Her: "Oh no it still won't work!"
Me: I take it.. again. and say: "Are you sure you know how to use a camera? Here let me take a photo."
She gets in with my flat mates, I take a picture.

Lots of fluff talk. Then somehow she started talking to other people so I ignored her for a bit.

Geez I see why you shouldn't drink too much when sarging it's so hard to remember..

Next:
Spoke to fresher helper again, just had a good old conversation, bit of comfort building. There was a moment when she was speaking and I was about to go in for a kiss but then our heads were at really awkward angles and our foreheads would've banged. Luckily she was talking so I don't think she noticed..

Then, for some reason, I asked her whether she had a boyfriend... and followed up after a bit with 'what about me.' What the hell was I thinking...

Later on outside:
Texting on my phone, two girls come up to me say you look upset, I get them to sit next to me, put my arms around them 'cause it's freezing fluff talk all three of us were pissed out of our minds. Can't even remember what we talked about.. but then one of their Hong Kong male friends comes along who looked like Gok Wan (homo) but decided to be friendly to a fellow asian brother.

Wanted to talk to talk to one of the two girls but they kept saying they need a wee. [This is a problem I have realised as you'll find out later too. When girls say they need to go, obviously it may be because they're not interested, or sometimes it's one of them wanting to go and her friend who's interested following suite.. What tactics can you use to keep them / one of them with you?]

Next:
That lot just left and I saw two girls sitting in their own (8 and 8.5). I go up to them:
Me: "Can I ask you a question.. Do I look gay to you?"
Them: "No, why.. was some guy...."
Me: "Yea! Because I was inside a second ago, and some guy... was.....hitting on me... the old *I motion a bum slap*"
Them: "No take it as a compliment. #####"
Fluff talk about our halls.
Bouncer comes along and says that he's closing the door.. so they decide to go inside :box: Where I couldn't be bothered because you can never hear people inside, let alone two of them.

Anyway, went up to some random girl who lives near me (personally a 5 [P5], she's not that bad technically, but something about her really puts me off.. I only opened her cause I asked my friend who to talk to and he pointed at her.. Anyway anyway

Me: "Do I look gay........ ###"
Her: "No take it as a compliment"
[Wow are all girls the same or something..]
Her friend comes up with a camera so I grab the P5 and get the picture then leave. I literally had 0 interest.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm.... OH yea

Later:
My mate and I are outside, he points at the stunner 9 'cause he is like infatuated with her I didn't even see her. So anyway I sit next to them fluff talk for a bit, they are thinkin about leaving like me and my mate because all these nights start at like 6pm and go on till 2am which is a mission... [bit of rapport]. I offer to escort them back to our halls later but leave them to get a burger with my mate.

Eating the burger the stunner and her friend go by, can't remember really what we said but roughly..
Me: "Oi! Don't you want an escort?"
Them: "Yes, oh but wait let's get some chips first."

Few minutes later we head back together:
Me: Ask her if she has a boyfriend (don't know why.. but...)
She didn't say yes, she seemed un-willing to say, but her friend said for her..
Me: I think I said "ME TOO! But he lets me go out and chat to other girls so it's fine."
Her: "But I'm looking for a best friend so it's fine."
Me: "Oh no I don't want to be your friend."
Her friend: "Why because best friends always fall in love?" [Wow she's good]
Me: "Nooo I don't fall in love.. the only person I love is my mum :rock: "
Her friend: ### about loving, not being in love
Me to Her: "So if I WERE to be your best friend, what sort of things would you make me do?"
Her: ######
####
Somehow she has a leaf and spanks me with it saying that it's a slave whip
Can't remember what I said.. nothing useful or detterrant.

Then we meet up with a group of others and everyone starts mingling, loads of ####, the group of others leave first and tell me to visit them some time.. can't even remember where they are..

Stunner and friend kept walking whilst that happened so,
Me: "Oi are you trying to run away from us?"
Them: "No we're just going to bed"
See this is where I wonder how I could have got them to stay with us...
Me: "Alrite then". Don't know why I didn't ask for a goodnight kiss.. anyways.
They see us again through glass doors and wave, we go in, then decide we're not tired and go back to the club.

Not much happened after that but the two girls (8 and 8.5) saw me and said hi, ####, then one said she wanted to go inside because it was cold, whilst I was getting along with the other... I didn't know what to do so just left..

Errrrrrm: Right I am tired from trying to remember what happened Sunday to today so I will continue this some other time.

Sunday

This isn't really anything but I gotta say.. we we're doing some sing-off and everyone was really cramped up together.. and there was this girl with the nicest legs rubbing up against me for about 30 minutes.. I even got a semi :nono:

Couldn't think of anything to say to her really.. Maybe: "Isn't this romantic?"
But when we all sat down some girl ended up on top of me and I asked her if I was comfortable... She laughed but I didn't know what to say after.

Monday
We went to a water park but it was a sober night...
Anyone got any ideas on casual pick-ups?

Wednesday
Foam Party Night.

Well that night I tried loads of approaches, but everyone seemed .. what's the word..... non-receptive? I dunno you get the idea.

Plus I got completely wankered...

In the day, I was going to a lecture, and saw a girl from my halls (7, really attractive and slim but geeky looking), she smiled, so I smiled, and said
Me: "Hey come on share the umbrella..."
Her: "Oh sorry..."

Turns out she doesn't like going out. Seemed like the shy goody goody type. Not sure how to escalate really.

First approach was ****.. she looked alright from behind.. then turned round and her eyeballs were so far out she looked like a fish. AND she was lookin at me like I was a wierd idiot... I kept going but thought **** her.. she's probably never been approached by a boy ever. Lame ass.

Saw a 4 set,
Me: "Can I ask you something.. I'm quite shy and I haven't had a girlfriend in a bit.... I know.. but if I were to approach you say, and try to chat you up, would it be better if I were a gentleman, or confident."
Them: "Gentleman"
Me: "So I should go up to you and be like....'Ohhhhhhhh, Well Helllllllloo, How do you doooo?' (Actin stupid), They giggled
Them: "No.. a bit of both"
Me: "Oh.. well give me an example then.."
Them: "Like you just did..."

I really didn't know what to do then.. so I just smiled, said thanks and left.

Did a few more but none were very receptive so I sorta lost any drive.. thought about trying the APOC opener.. Hi how are you? What you doing later? Want to come back to my dorm? But didn't see ANYONE on their own.

Quite funny though, when I had just given up, I was queuing up for a hot dog, some girl pushed past,
Me: "DO YOU MIND? THAT'S RUUUDE!"
Her: "I'm not pushing in!

Then somehow I ended up sittin next to her speakin loads about the sing-offs which are between halls, was a really good laugh.. she sang a song about *******s so I called her a pervert and said she was moving too fast for me and turned my back on her. She literally yanked me back round.

Then she said something to insult me so I turned my back again, and said
Me: "I think you owe me something now...." Pointing at my cheek
She tried to kiss me
I backed off and said "WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO KISS ME FOR? I WANTED AN APOLOGY?" Worked well.. then my mate called me over to eat the hot dogs so I just left..

Can't really remember but I don't think she was that attractive at any rate. But still, I thought about how to escalate and I just didn't know..

Oh also during the day time, I had an ICT class with about 35 boys and 5 girls literally. It was an introductory class so we had to send our 'neighbour' an e-mail. Saw a girl across the room so I wrote next to 'send an e-mail':
Name please:

Walked up to her, asked her if she'd seen this. She wrote her name down and gave me one of the nicest smiles ever. Although for some reason not her full name so I couldn't find her e-mail.. dumbass. But saw her quite a few times today and she smiles at me. No opportunity to talk though.

Also there's a few other fresher helpers who every time I see them, wave or say hello, how you doing.. that sorta thing. But I don't know how to escalate. Maybe I should get them on their own and find out a bit more about them. Although I don't want too much rapport and no attraction...

Basically what my problem is that I don't know how to escalate. I can open, get girls interested (seemingly), but I don't know how to get them thinking about naughty things. I think I kino enough, I get close enough to them.. Maybe I just need to talk about something like sex. Think it's time for me to read a bit at the moment.

Small FR, haven't gone out these last few nights. Bloody lectures have started.

I'm late for a lecture, I see a girl that is also late for the same one.

She pauses ust before entering the lecture hall. Whilst I walk past, I laugh a tiny bit out loud and go in before her.

30 minutes later, I write on a piece of paper:

We have been sitting next to each other for the last 30 minutes and you haven't said hello. What's wrong are you shy or something?

She laughed, I wrote: What's your name
Her: Sasha, what's yours?
Me: Me
Me: Nice to meet you Sasha
Her: You too
Me: Why were you late?
She shrugs
Me: I don't know what to ask now.. help me out? [Don't ask]
Her: You should be paying attention.
Me: So should you.
She shrugs

I ran out of things to say and sorta got caught out by her telling me to pay attention. Plenty of things I could do but, oh well.

Anyway that girl I asked the name for so that I could e-mail:

Me: "Hey it's ****. I got your name last week and I'm your new boyfriend. We should go out some time, how about this weekend? "
Her: "erm you are not my new boyfriend. I already have one who i have been going out with for three years. and for future reference don't tell girls you don't know that you are their new boyfriend. it dont go down well!"
Me: "ooh burn. i have a boyfriend too his name's bob but the thing is he lets me see other girls. you're missing out......"

LOL. I didn't really care I just thought I'd try the direct approach.
