I keep hearing a lot of guys put down having kids and that kids will ruin your life. Yes they will IF YOU LET THEM. Just like buying a dog, you can't expect the dog to train itself, you need to discipline your dog and train him to obey you. Only then will he respect, love and care for you. It's the same with women and children.
Listen guys, I work with children, pretty much everyday. I teach classes of about 50 kids right down to 2 or 3 at a time. I can tell you, I have learned exactly how to raise my kids from having to deal with their ****.
Now, this has changed my personality sooo much. I use to be a fun, happy go lucky type of guy and thought you should give your kid as much as possible and try and be his friend. After applying it in the classroom, I quickly found out, THIS DOESN'T WORK. Kids like you for the first two classes then they start to challenge your boundaries. They might start with something small, like talking back or outright refusing to do something. Later it might evolve into them throwing things, hitting other students and eventually hitting or spitting on you.
Now, after 10 years of experience, I am a very strict disciplinarian, in the classroom, at home and in life. I do not take sh1t from anyone, EVER. Now, I only have to look at my kids and they all form lines and salute me with "yes, sir" at the loudest possible volume. Kids who fail to meet these standards are either pressured and beat up by their friends or ejected from the class by their classmates. My word is fvcking law and its also the way I speak to women. I have noticed recently that my TA (teaching assistants) get quite hot and bothered when I'm ordering them around. I had a recent run in with a TA (22 y/o) who was kissing and hugging a kid I had sent into the corner. I told her to Get the fvk off him or else... she ran away crying and our mangina leader came to reprimand me. I quit the job on the spot and as I was walking out, the teaching assistant came running at me. She was apologizing profusely and asking for my forgiveness, this literally floored our 'leader'.
My wife loves it when I tell her what to do and she rallies behind me at work (we work together some days). I just look at her and she says maybe 5 things to the classroom and its quiet. The children know that I have my boundaries and they are well aware of what they are. If a kid is bad, even a little, snickers or is talking when I'm talking... I don't get angry, upset or throw a tantrum. I tell him to stand beside me... usually at this point the entire class is in dead silence. I take a heavy desk or chair and I put it on top of his head and make him hold it up. I tell him and the class that if he continues to talk, I will line them up right beside him. (usually children are weak and have a lot of trouble with this). If he continues to act out, I will pile books onto the desk with every transgression until the weight is too much for him to bare. I tell him a man could do this, if he drops it he's a girl. You should see these kids fight to keep the desk up. The girls, I only need to look in their direction and they have both hands on their desk sitting nicely.
The child underneath the desk is not allowed to speak or participate in the class whatsoever. I have had several kids who you'd think were tough as nails, breakdown and cry like babies in front of me. These are teenagers. I'm the highest paid teacher in my school and also the most in demand. We play games and have loads of fun in my classes but its all controlled fun and the kids are always under the gun. If we play a game, the winning team may get a small reward but the losing team will always get homework, and a lot of it. I've given out 20 page essays, it makes kids work harder to be the best and please the teacher. Kids need to fear failure and they need to fear you. They know I'm serious when I walk into the classroom and they all sit quietly and nicely. I'm always greeted with "Good morning, sir" and some kids even bring me little presents and food from time to time. I love teaching my kids and I make sure their experience is fun and that they can take away something from the class that will benefit them in the future. I don't threaten students, as soon as someone crosses my boundary they are OUT. Punishment is swift and too the point and it drives home the seriousness of the situation.
In my daily life, I get loads of respect from people mostly because I've developed a hard outer shell and the majority of the guys I work with are dumbstruck at how well my wife caters to me and how much respect I get from her. She follows me around like a little puppy while their wives bark and b1tch at them to make more money. My wife has picked up a lot of my habits and at 5 foot nothing, you would not want to fvck with her. Everyone likes her, she has a very pleasant personality but she doesn't let anyone say anything bad about her husband without a fight.
My point here is that you need to set boundaries for yourself and carry through with your threats. Don't play mind games with women or children and don't let them test you. Make rules, live by them and don't let anyone break them around you. I have rules for the classroom, fighting is automatic ejection from the classroom. I have rules for women, disrespect in any form, however minor, is an automatic ejection from my life. My wife knows I'm very serious and will walk away from this relationship at the drop of a hat. I don't let any man say sh1t to me without telling him to go fvck himself. I'm never **** tested and there is rarely any disagreements or fights between us.
I think the problem with men today is they don't have any boundaries and they let women do and say whatever they want. If you do this, even once, it will develop a bad habit and those people that are crossing your boundaries will continue to push even harder. Its very hard to re-discipline children or women that are already broken. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it requires a greater amount of effort and has to be fixed immediately. There is no gradual change in regards to respect. That said, once you learn this basic skill set, having children and teaching them to be good people is a breeze. You won't lose any sleep over the possibility of a pregnancy and your life will be better because of it. I guarntee, learning how to command will improve your game a thousand fold.
