Chicks who use the term friend for their boyfriend?

Anyone else notice chicks who use the term friend instead of saying their boyfriend and aren't FB's but have been dating a while?

A few dudes have mentioned that to me today. It could be just short way of saying boyfriend. Or is it some kind of term to describe them and let other dudes know they consider themselves open to date others. Or it's like her saying they're long term on and off and call each other friend?

It's kinda all of the above. But they're lying, either way. They want to keep their options open, play the field, not be perceived as "taken", justify cheating, not be viewed as sluts (FWBs are ALWAYS classified as "friends"), etc. They're usually lying to everyone involved - and playing them all, too. Some of the more adept players will connive everyone into the position they want them to be in, and set up a bunch of pseudo-relationships - while lying and making up excuses all along the way. They also like to make it seem like they're not too interested in their BF, are on the rocks, broken up, or whatever. But ONLY if they find you attractive enough to cheat on them with. Then they usually go back as if nothing happened.

Definitely don't trust these types, or expect to be played, as well. Doesn't matter if they like, approach, and/or instigate everything with you, either - because that's what players do. Then they lie their asses off from there.
