"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

So I met this chick through a mutual friend - we've never actual met in person yet.

About a month ago her BF broke up with her (they dated about 8 months), he said he no longer wants to be in a relationship and wants to be single. She reached out to my friend asking if she had any good guys which is why I got in touch with her through Facebook. We exchanged a few messages on FB and then she stopped responding. So a week later she replied to my last message and told me "the reason she took so long to reply was bc her ex bf was willing to try at things again and she wanted to see where things go with him, but if things don't change soon I will be the first to know." She gave me her phone number at the end of the message and said if I wanted to be friends to call or text her.

So about 2 weeks go by and I text her, we exchange casual texts just saying hi and how are things going. I went out of town about a week later and posted some pictures on FB that she started liking - 3 to be exact. When I got back in town I text her again and this time the texts were alot more flirty - lol's, hahaha, emoticons etc. I asked her to meet up an hang out with a group of mutual friends which she said she would. At the end of this texting convo which lasted about 3-4 hours - I told her not to be a stranger which she replied - I won't be, and u either.

Should I keep pursuing this chick or just let her go? Based on what our mutual friend says is - things are going ok bn her and her bf. he is in the military and leaves to go out in a month and then again in the fall. I know there relationship is in a rocky state or am I just the back burner?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I'd feel bad if he's a respectable guy but most of the soldiers I know are *******s.

Just straight up ask her what is going on between the two of you. It's hard to compete with a boyfriend especially since she seems to be attached to him since he broke up with her once already. Tell her you're not going to wait around, if you do you end up becoming the back burner.

I mean obviously she is attracted to something about me or else she could of ended communication with me on several occasions. I am just confused if I should let the 2 of them sizzle out it just flat up ignore her and let her try and initiate contact.

Well, as an ex-Soldier myself, I'll tell you what may be going on.

He broke up with her to bang hotter broads while he's stateside. Now that he's rolling out on deployment, he wants to have a steady girl to talk to and also to have something on tap when he comes home. At least, that's what I used to do.

Depends on the military branch, too. If he's Air Force / Navy / Coast Guard, slam that broad out for all she's worth. If he's Army Infantry or Marines, let it go, man. We had guys in my unit come back and go ****in' ballistic (assaults, one attempted murder) when they found out who their old lady's were sleeping around with - and that was just my platoon! Battalion wide it was probably even worse. We used to keep a few barracks rooms empty in case a "domestic dispute" arose and the Soldier needed a place to cool off (i.e., not kill anyone).

I would recommend keeping her on the back burner. Girls often have a change of heart once their man is out of the picture. Sad, but definitely true.
