This actually happened in my family. My late aunt was married like five times. With her first husband she had my two female cousins. Last year my cousins were telling my mom they were furious because their dad, late 70s early 80s, had a 30 something friend with benefits. Basically she would come over, bang his brains out, and he would give her cash for this or that. Plus take her out sometimes and buy her shyt.. He is single and loaded, why not! Retired farmer who made a fortune. My cousins/his daughters were complaining that he was spending “their” money. I guess He pretty much told them to shove it according to my mom, who also sided with him. I saw him in a gas station about a month ago and he looked happier than I had ever seen him and I’ve known him since birth!

One could argue that his daughter should understand that his time on the planet is limited. That spending his money in a way that fulfills his remaining time left is not a negative thing. Maybe to him, money isn't the measure of love.
