"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Checkout Counter Chick Showing Interest

I've blown some opportunities recently just due to being a coward. The other day I'm shopping at my local Kroger for groceries. I usually do my shopping around 12-1A. I notice when walking in that there's this new girl who looks pretty cute...probably a 6.5-7 in the face and 8-8.5 body. She kept looking at me as I rolled my shopping cart. When she was close enough to me to make eye contact she looked at me and smiled like she was interested. Finally I go to checkout and she's a few aisles down doing nothing. So she rushes over to check me out (my groceries at least) and she smiles again and appologizes for the delay. The delay was like 3 seconds! She was really friendly and talkative and smiled alot so it seemed that signs of interest were definitely strong. When I make my return trip for more groceries in a few days, how should I go about approaching her and getting her number. Or should I wait until the 3rd encounter for good measure. Talking to chicks..and especially trying to get their numbers is majorly stressful for me so I need to go in with a plan. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

i don't know, not to discourage you...and i'm in no position to be giving advice with just being in a dating drought for the past 4 months...but my 2 cents are that anyone who is working probably gets paid to be 'friendly'

that doesn't count really...you should try to illicit those reactions in girls not doing their job.

i know this because at work, i put my game face on and act like i'm in the most joyous mood and am nice to everyone even if i'm really feeling sh!tty on the inside.

just keep that in mind. and nonetheless, at least you're making an effort i guess, whereas, i haven't been.

keep it up.

I guess I'll go for it later this week on my next shopping trip. I think the signs of interest are much more than just doing her job. She took several glances while I was there and the smile seemed to be more than just the friendly "smile at the customer." I don't know what to say to a checkout chick but maybe I can think of something.

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

Chickenlegs, I really wonder why you would take the time to try to give "pseudo-advice" when you admit that you aren't even in the game. Save yourself from a lifetime of carpal tunnel, keyboard jockey.

Ian: There are LOTS of girls working at that grocery store. I assume all of them are getting paid. How many of them are going out of their way to approach you and give you IOI's? Forget about chicken, his name says it all. Go game this girl!

Yeah just go for it, the worst that will happen is you find out she is just putting on her work act, best way to do this is to say, "hey you are supposed to be happy and friendly, you work here!" and that breaks the barrier between customer and employee. Example: if I go shopping for new clothes, I always get the girl working to help me, tell her I want a "female opinion". When I come out in the clothes I am trying on, if shes all compliments, I say, "No, honestly what do you think, don't tell me what you HAVE to say cause you work here" They always laugh, and then you can introduce yourself and it is all fun, I often leave with a number, and no new clothes :).

Thanks for all the feedback and encouragement on this. Tommorrow will be grocery shopping day so I will see what I can do provided she's working. I don't even know how to approach a chick in this kind of situation and what to say. The only place I've really approached chicks is in bars and clubs. This will be a first.

Positive Mindset

This is a problem I deal with also. The source of the "cowardly" mindset is a fear of rejection/failure. The source of the fear of rejection is ultimately a negative mindset. Be confident and anticipate a *positive* outcome first. Use confident body language even before you approach. Everybody's rooting for you. Whatever happens, you will continue to learn and improve to the point where you will have way too many women on your hands.

It sounds to me like she's into you. Take advantage of it because it doesn't happen often to most of us, never to some of us.

It sounds like this is a gimmie:

"You again! So are you really this nice and cheerful or are you just doing your job?"

:: Yada yada, some crap she'll say ::

"So what else do you do besides work the graveyard shift here?"

"Well I normally don't hit on the checkout ladies at the supermarket because most are 50 years old and smell like lunchmeat but would you like to get together sometime?"

Sealed deal.
