I have a friend who has been getting just straight dogged by his woman for the last month or so. they ahve been dating about 8 months give or take. it's so bad it's become ovbious to everyone that she just does not respect him any longer.

So, we are talking the other day and he is trying to build up the courage to break up with her. I understand where he's coming from.

so to cut to the chase, he tries to break up with her, and by the time he got off the p hone and called me, she had, basically broken up with him. He tried to explain why he did not want to date her anymore, that he did not feel she respected him anymore, and she basically said it was all his fault, that he was a loser and she doesn't want to be with him, and becuase of that, she is deciding to break up with him...yes.. somehow this woman managed to break pu with someone who had already broken up with her, and not only that, get the desired effect.

the guy calls me and says she broke up with me and tells me what happened.. I'm like dude, you called HER TO BREAK UP WITH HER.

I thought that was funny. breaking up does suck and no one ever wants to take the blame for a break up.

Understand this:

Say you're the chick and a guy you've been dating for about 8 months, whom you no longer respect, calls you and says he doesn't want to see you anymore.

There was a reason, or more probably, a bunch of reasons you lost respect for him, and this is more of the same. He's a coward.

So now he's further shown he's chicken and not worthy of respecting by PHONING to break up and you're going to be like, "What? You - breaking up with me? Oh no sir! If anything, YOU, you little chickensh!t, I'M the one that should be breaking up with you, you pathetic little loser!".

And that's what she did. AND the story you heard was his edited version.

Until I hear reason not to be, I'm on her side on this one.

What's to say she wouldnt have done the same thing if he told her in person? She probably still would have blown him out.

In a situation like this, where the woman has completely lost respect for him, the ONLY way to get out with some dignity is this:

"I dont want to see you anymore. Goodbye."

And never speak to her again. I'm sure there are a million things he wanted to say to her, and he probably gave her a good earfull, but in doing so he only made himself look like more of a chump. What this says it that he is so browbeaten by her he is going to give her an explanation as to why he is breaking up with her, leaving the door open for her to walk on his balls some more.

I could see an argument for just walking and not saying anything at all, but I can also understand how he needed some kind of closure. Walking away is VERY difficult to do when you feel like there is unfinished business. He probably felt like he needed set the record straight for his own satisfaction, which she threw right back in his face.

No doubt about it.

But I'm saying the real issue is this guy, not her. This guy is the one that was "trying to build up the courage to break up with her" and called her on the phone to do it, because he's chicken. And I'm thinking that if he's not that confident a guy, then it probably manifested in many ways, and of course it must've, because something accounted for her losing her respect for him, no?

So her faulting him and taking the frame away from him, hey, that's not the problem. He's the problem, the poor guy. He needs the help so women DON'T lose respect for him in the first place.

she probably was such a wreck that she didn't deserve to be "told" in person. why show her the respect she wasn't giving him? just hope he can stay away and won't let himself be used.

why was he dating her exclusively in the first place? why wasn't he constantly seeing other women? oh yea thats right, because he has no game, and buys into the "commit to one girlfriend at a time" rule.
