Cheap laptops?

I'm on the look out for a cheap laptop, probably around the 500 - 900 USD range (the cheaper, the better). I'm nainly going to use it for p0rn, schoolwork and downloading music. Anyone got any good links to sites that offer cheap laptops?

Dell Inspirion 1520 or Vostro 1500 (whichever is cheaper) - see if you can find any coupons to save up. They are cheap, but at least they use some magnesium for the laptop's chasis instead of pure plastic crap like most cheap laptops. Avoid Acer, Asus and Everex. Asus have good specs inside but their casing is cheap.

I have a secondhand Toshiba Portege which has gotten me most of the way through undergrad and law school. 12" screen and long, long battery life, really comfy keyboard. Highly recommend. Magnesium case, made in Japan, I've spilled water all through the keys and internals, dropped it on tiles from 4 feet, still going strong (just take the battery out when you're drying it under the hand dryers). Best Buy's usually got some weekly cheap laptops. The ones closer to $400-500 will probably be Celerons but you can get a decent dual-core in the $700-800 range. Now that I think about it you could probably get a cheap one anywhere in about 3 weeks with all the day-after-Thanksgiving sales events most stores have.

Thanks for the links guys. Unfortunatly I can't use Walmart since they don't ship outside the US. God ****ing damn it. I wish I lived in the US. **** 400 USD for a laptop? With the dollar going down the tube now, I would make a ****ing killing by buying laptops at Walmart and selling them over here.

That's not cheap. You can get a solid laptop for that price. For like $800, I recently bought a Dell out of their small business division with a Core2 Duo processor and wireless support built in. But you could go to Best Buy and get a solid model for that price.

A CHEAP laptop would be like $300-$400 off of Ebay...there are plenty of companies that sell refurbs that big corporations have excessed. Just make sure it's a reputable manufacturer.

Careful with the porn...with a laptop it can get addictive.
