i disagree with you guys. charm is a state of being within yourself . regardless of whether you leave people feeling "happy and warm". i know many a person that would fit into what you describe. they are extremely kind people and have never had a cross word for anyone ( at least not in my presence). although they happen to be extremely decent folks they seem to be severely lacking in the "charm" department. charm basically boils down 2 confidence. you can be the warmest, kindest, most generous of people, but if you lack the ability to speak confidently while still being casual. then 'charming" just wouldn't apply

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
