Interesting how people feel he has hit rock bottom, yet ' it doesn't affect him doing his job'. Does anyone else here see the contridictory nature of these statements? On the surface he seems fine...but he has a problem. Well yeah, if you project ones own beliefs system onto someone else...than anything deviating from that norm would be considered an issue. If I am not mistaken, its a false dichotomy.

So my question is this, why do people think that having sex is a disease? When something doesn't fit someones worldview, its instantly cast as something evil. Maybe to some people, marrying an ugly wife and having kids and no life isn't someones cup of tea. You don't see people calling obsessive parenting an addition or a disease. Besides, any grown man with a fat wife and 3 kids would KILL to pull the tail that sheen pulls. To point and label sheen as someone with a major dysfunction is simply hating on something that (most of us) can never be yet every man dreams of.

I wish people could just mind their own business and stop trying to label everything they don't understand as some sort of epidemic. Kids who can't concentrate are sick! Kids who like sex are sick! Kids who like to drink are sick! I am dumbfounded at how stupid our collective intelligence is - its people being people for fvkcs sake!

I honestly don't think Mr. Sheen is nearly as bad as the media wants him to be, or makes him out to be. If he were truly hitting rock bottom, he wouldn't be performing as he has been.

Such people should be given help and looked upon as sad examples of what life should not be about. The question is, how bad is your life that you find such characters "cool"? I hate to judge people (god how I hate to judge period) but Sheen gets my award for best functioning addict. You know it's bad when the network is "looking for reasons to send him to rehab" but can't. Obviously he's so good at his job and fills his obligations so well, that they need to come up with solid ideas for them to stop making money. The worst part is because of a combination of his skill and their greed, the guys probobly gonna die. Bring a functional alcoholic is no badge of honor. It's a publicly accepted path to an early grave. I mean if you don't mind death it's no big deal. I'm not keen on death myself but I understand nothing last forever and dying young leaves you memorable. I supose in the end your mentality is what really matters.
