Before i get the "looks don't matter" crap. This is just a thread for the people who've changed their looks and to what degree of improved success have they had.

I'm not talking just about clothes or an added ear ring. I mean properly changed their looks. As in facial hair, muscle, weight and that kind of thing. I'm very interested on how it has improved some people's game.

I'm currently growing a really cool looking beard, and have changed my clothes etc. Anyhow, lemme know. And if I'm being honest, I'm mostly interested in the facial hair more than anything else.

Looks do matter. To say they don't is PC crap.

I'd say in general lose weight, wear tidy clothes, be well groomed (even if one has a beard) and have a good hair cut. Even if one hates fashion, still wear good clothes that are neat, tidy and well pressed.

It is amazing what a set of good clothes and shoes will do for a man.

I never skimp when it comes to shoes and spend a couple of hundred £'s on a pair. Along with a good pair of trousers, shirt etc it will literally transform how you feel about yourself and how you carry yourself.

I'm probably one of the more extreme examples that will pop up on this thread.

Essentially I have an under-bite where my lower jaw has grown quicker than my top jaw given me a protracted chin. I haven't been able to touch both sets of teeth for like 4 years lol.
I now have braces to correct my teeth that weren't great as a result of this and next summer I'm having a major op where my jaw will be broken back into place so my teeth line up.

It will completely change my face for the better plus emphasise my hard jaw line and cheekbones which chicks dig ;)
It's been a 2 year process so far within probably another 6-12months to go but it'll be so so worth it by the end of it.

I use to get bullied when it was really bad but my upper jaw has caught up in part so it's only noticeable when I smile and I'm nowhere near as selfconcious as I was about it. I still bang chicks, I still have ONS and relationships because I'm happy within myself.

Aside from that I lift weights in the gym and have a reasonable body. I'm not ripped but you can tell I work out with my shirt off.

Additionally I wear alot of shirts and shoes that are quite smart but are able to pull of a casual look. It's such a huge buzz leaving the house knowing I look suarve as ****.

I play around with the odd bit of facial hair but usually go clean shaven or some sharp stubble which the girls love ;)

It can be done people, put the effort in.

I wouldn't grow a beard right now simply because everybody else seems to have a beard. When you have professional athletes wearing beards it's safe to say that the sh*t has gone stream. Plus there's that whole "hipster look," to them.

That's not to say I'm anti-hipster or anti beard, (I sported a beard until Easter of last year,) my point is with your sh*t rock it in a way that distinguishes you from everybody else with the same sh*t. For example, you might what to stay away from that, "ZZ Top/Civil War Reenactment," look that seems to be in right now. I would suggest that you go with a goatee.

Depending on your facial structure try the handle bar with the goatee (third row, second to the last) or the anchor (last row, third from the left) with the anchor I suggest that it's thin and narrow (from wherever you want to start it at) while the farther down, the hair line gets wider and hair gets fuller.

I did start with a goatee, but quickly went to full beard as it seems too common where i live. Having said that, people don't generally have facial hair all that much either.
When i went out last week, looking around everyone was clean shaven. So my thinking is that I'll stand out as someone who is different and not afraid to go against the common trend.
I do keep it very well trimmed and it also compliments my short gelled hair.

I cut my hair short(used to be emo length), stopped wearing beanies, improved my posture, I keep my head held high when walking around with a grin on my face, took better care of my hygiene and acne/face, and I've added 50-100 crunches every night to my weekly work out routine.

I get looks from girls way more often now. :D

Hitting the gym and having sculpted my physique over the last 8 years has boosted my confidence and has re-enforced the belief within that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to.

Started shaving my head with a razor several years ago--I get compliments all the time. I'm often told that I have "the head" for it, which I never considered until I actually took the chance and started shaving it. But now I'm thinking of letting my hair grow out, even though I'm receding and have a bald spot in the crown of my head. But I'm not afraid to risk new things and really look forward to the reactions I'll get from women.
I swear you look like Luke Goss..

I've been going gym now for 4/5 months fairly consistently and I can see some improvements, although I haven't put on any weight (145 pounds) I'm much stronger and leaner than I was, although still fairly shrimpy haha.

I'd like to think girls have noticed, but I think because I've been getting bigger around them they haven't really noticed to the extent that my housemates have.

I also went out and sorted my wardrobe and have been getting compliments much more frequently.

Next on the agenda is my hair, I've had a few suggestions, but last time I got a trim, afterwards the stylist told me to try something specific next time I come in.

I feel more confident, and I can feel girls looking at me more now, including girls I thought were just friends. Here's to that continuing as I keep up with the gym.

I am lucky I am around some good dressing people. I am a roughneck and they call me out when I look like ****.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

girls have always told me i was "cute" and "nice". They told me I was attractive. I would probably have rated my nerdy, skinny, cheap clothes-wearing ass as a 7 as far as looks went.

Then I started working out, eating right...gained 15-20 lbs of lean muscle and dropped body fat to the point where I have a six pack. I started paying more attention to style and how to dress properly, wearing nicer clothes, collared shirts, Express, Ralph Lauren, Hilfiger whatever, more expensive watches and shoes. I started grooming myself bettter, always making sure I looked and smelled fresh everytime I went out. I bought nice cologne (this one is huge), and trimmed my hair and facial hair, worked on my posture. After all of these things, girls continually tell me how "hot" i am, blantantly hit on me in public (and in front of my GF), give me the look when I'm walking around in public. I would confidently rate myself a 9 or 10 now as far as looks.

Looks make a huge difference. Especially working out. Having a fit body is a turn on for girls at the most basic level. It shows you eat right and are strong/fast and have your *&^* together. Clothes are very important and will seperate you from the other guys. Not only will looking better benefit you, but more importantly the confidence boost you will get is huge.
