If you track someone's cell phone using one of those websites, can they find out you tracked them? How can you disable your GPS tracking device on your own phone?

Get an old cellphone without GPS.Also, those cellphones cant return the signal value and the tower information, therefore your cellphone can't be triangulated.

I also make and sell nice looking tinfoil hats, by the way. :D

I disabled the gps on my phone. I installed google maps on it with latitude but i think i might take that off soon as well. :rock:

Why the paranoia?

The ability to track your phone is great. It's a life saver. I just lost my iPhone last night and couldn't find it this morning, but thanks to its "find my iPhone" feature I see it's somewhere in my house, alleviating my fears it was left at a restaurant and possibly then stolen. Overall, all the GPS location services of the iPhone are wonderful. So why the paranoia of being tracked? Why would you want to track someone else's phone?
