ive got this buddy who i hang out with often. we were watching college football yesterday with his friends. he had another buddy he was gonna introduce to this girl he knows. he showed the guy her pictures but he said he wasnt interested in her(she wasnt there). so later i asked about her but my friend acted like he couldnt do it. i confronted him about it like whats the deal? and he didnt seem to want to introduce us at all, he just made excuses as to why he couldnt. i asked well then why did you even bring it up?

this is like the 3rd time hes done this. ive asked about his wifes single friends and he couldnt hook me up for some reason. he also says shes out of your league man, your not this and that, youre old, you havent finished college yet, you dont have money blah blah. i sense this subtle arrogance about him, like he has it so much better than me and im a complete loser or something.
this guy is a rambling drunk. he never stops talking so i barely get a word in edgewise. he thinks his opinion is the only one that matters. everytime i see him hes drunk. its sad really. hes married to this fat chick who bosses him around.
im on the verge of cutting him off. normally i would let it slide but if he thinks im some kind of loser i dont need his a$$ around. it just stings a little when your friends do that to you.
i thought your wingman was supposed to help you? i feel like im being ****blocked.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Lose this guy asap.

He's a drunk and an arrogant pr*ck. Nothing good can come from hanging out with him.

Friendship is about mutual respect. I don't stay friends with people that talk down to me. You shouldn't either. I only have two GOOD buddies. We NEVER treat each other like that.

Being around people that talk down to you will eat away at your self-esteem and self-confidence. It's not healthy. As you are trying to come in the game and in life, people like that will bring you down.

Next topic....

Honestly, don't expect anyone to fix you up. I mean if it happens, great, but don't expect it. Most guys and girls just aren't interested in doing that for you. When it does happen, it's mostly based on cliques. This guy considers the other buddy to be part of his clique, not you.

Anyway, don't take any of this personally. You now know what you are dealing with.

Your buddy wants to see how desparate you are, how bad he can make you look, how much of a fool he make out of you, to stroke his ego.

After he told you to get lost about his wife's single friends, you should have known not to bring it up again. It not only makes you a bad listener, it makes you look bad.

As Mike said, lose this guy.

well its been over 2 weeks and ive had no contact with him or their social circle. i usually hang out with them on weekends. thats been hard because hes one of the few friends i have. ive been thinking and trying to understand why the hell he would act this way. its either he thinks im a loser or hes jealous and wants me to fail.
i just dont get why someone who says they are your friend can go and down you so much. i dont expect him or anyone else to hook me up, i can do my own fishing...its the principle of the whole thing. the things he would say like, "youre my friend, but...i dont think you can date this girl" or "shes out of your league", "my friends think youre weird","your old dude","your not enough of this and that".
i want to go back to his house just one more time and tell him hes a rambling drunk and i could beat him at anything. seriously dude, youre married to a fatty, you work a job you hate, and now you just had a kid you can barely take care of. youre lazy, your house always smells of cat ****, and you still havent fixed any of the broke stuff on your house. whos the real loser here?

maybe he realizes this and wants to make me look stupid while im in my vulnerable position. if so then that is messed up. especially from some one i thought was my friend for over 2 years.

I had a friend I grew up with since we were 5 years old. WAS one of my best friends. When we started going out a lot and hitting the bar scene/club nightlife I started to pull a lot of broads. He wouldn't pull anything. I would try to help him, introduce him to a woman's friend who I was talking to, he just couldn't hold his own. Got to the point were he started to get really jealous and not invite me out to places..he did a lot of C**k sucker moves.

Our breaking point was when I invested a large amount of time into his cousin. She was REALLY into me...but this F*ck started telling her that I cheat on women and feeding her with BS when I wasn't around.

He ended up going so over the top (because I didn't handle it right away) that I laid him out on the floor of a bar. Never spoke to him since. Been a few years now.

My personal advice..."Friends" that do that crap to you are NOT your "friend." Call him out on the crap. If he doesn't change/gets worse. Drop his ass from your life, you don't need him around.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
