To make it simple, here is the situation. There is this HB in my class. The class just stated a week ago, so no one know anyone yet. No one in there talks much. The problem is that I can never find a suitable time or place to approach her. I tried to wait a little after class to approach her, but she takes forever just to get moving. I tried to sit next to her, but I am always late to the class. I don't want to wait at the door for her to come out, because that just seems awkward and obvious.

At then end of class find something to do that prevents me from running off, like writing furiously, talking on the phone, staring vacantly off into space, talking to the teacher... whatever. After a moment look up and bust on her for taking so long to leave.

meet her before class or just walk really slow after class. don't sit next to her during class. it's really arkward if u somehow screw something up.
ask her "big mac or mcdonald. hahahah. if she ask why, just say u're hungry and later on tell her she should join u.
if u somehow got past the conversation. end it in 5 mins. and ask her "r u smart". if she say yes then grab a phone and tell her to give u her phone number. if she ask why, say u need a study partner for this class.

I personally don't like the beginning of class b/c people snoop in on my conversation... and its a game-killer.... I'd say after class, but don't make it seem like you've been waiting for her to come out or anything, just work on your timing.
If she's starting to put her purse over her shoulder, you should be closing your book....
If she's rushing out, don't put your books in your book-bag, just hold them to your side.
If you need to delay, pretend you're looking for notes, or reading a text-message.... You get the picture.
Don't start hitting on her right away, start conversing about something. If you see her on campus outside of class (assuming you're in college) its acceptable to say "You're in my blah blah class right?" Then talk about something, keep it short and say nice to meet you. That way next time you're class, it is appropriate to say hi and converse with her, she moved from stranger to acquaintance.

Just sit next to her and talk to her like you'd talk to a dude. If she's that hot, you'd get to class on time. People being around shouldn't scare you. Unless you plan and saying one of the following:
-You look nice.
-I think you're pretty.
-Do you have a boyfriend?
Actually avoid any compliments, it's weak and it's says "Please like me." Besides, it'll be obvious what you're trying to do. Without knowing all the dynamics, it'd be impossible to give you pin point advice. But basically, just do it.
AND DON'T use the words "morose" and "saturnine" with her. You have to be entertaining.

be direct, pass a note to her in class. Its a line of communication that really cant get fvcked up. tell the person to "pass it to that girl over there".
Make the note funny so its not awkward.
Be damn sure you got a chance with her and that shes likely to dig you or youll just crash and burn with this. This is a crude but effective way to cut the bull**** and get on to talking with her. everythign else requires conditions to favro you; "sit next to her if theres a seat available, blah blah"
BTW, if she has any friends in that class that she talks to, it helps to befriend them, so her friends should be a target too, not just her.

The room has 45 sits and a long table, and there are around 50 students. The good thing is that only about 30 people show up on Friday. At this point the ice is broken, and you are one of the 1st guys to have approached her (that already gives u a head start on other guys).
The longer you wait the more other guys will start speaking to her, and the more you will fade into the darkness in the background. The more you hide behind your excuses the less chance you have. You live life once, what are you waiting for?
