"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I don't know why I felt compelled to discuss this (I usually keep my personal feelings and buisness to myself.) Anywho for a while now I just haven't had the drive for much. Hitting on broads, dating, etc. Don't get me wrong flirting, playing around, casual sex, hitting on, and talking to women is fun, but in light of that I still feel empty. I feel like I lack drive and the only things I want to do are schoolwork and study.

Maybe I'm rambling here but has anyone else ever just felt like "phuck it"?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I think all PUAs go through this phase.

The emptiness comes from realizing that, aside from bragging rights, you have nothing to show for all your sexual exploits. Devote your energy to other passions otherwise you are just living for carnal pleasure...and there is so much more to us than flesh and bone. Each of us has a powerful gift that we can share with the world, if we just take the time to cultivate it.

The Game is not exclusive to women...it's how you handle yourself and your life. So keep playin, but don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Remember balance, young Jedi.

I like that line right there, cause one thing I hope to achieve one day is successfully run for national political office, so the people of the places I grew up in can truly have a voice and have someone that can relate to them (having rich liberals and conservaties from across the way visiting the projects and poor rual areas every four years for votes just doesn't cut it for me.)

Anyway not to turn this into another down the drain political thread (please don't, my fellas) I still feel like there is a big chunk of my life that just isn't right or that appears to be missing. How have any of you gotten a handle on that?

Everyone has a void within them. We all have ways of trying to fill it. Some are seducers, others are alcoholics, workaholics or status seekers. In the end any endeavor that solely self-serving will leave you feeling empty. Only when you are able to combine your passions with the helping of your fellow man will you be fulfilled.

Your political intentions arenoble, just make sure you are doing something you love and enjoy.
