Can cold approach work in a small town?

Hey, I live in a town of about 5000 people and work in a town of 1000. Almost all the women here are taken, though there are some single women around.
I don't have any way to meet women except through cold approach or random meetings. My social circle is no good for meeting women.
Can cold approach work in a small area like this? What is the best way to meet women under these circumstances?

My town has a Casey's General Store. You'd be hard pressed to find any local that doesn't go there. Many Casey's have 1-2 tables inside where you can sit and eat. I've gone in there and sat at the tables and ate and got numbers before from women passing through. I'm lucky that my town has a major north south highway running through it and a lot of non local people come in too. But if you can find a gas station like this in your area that sells hot food, that gives you a reason to hang out in there for a reasonable time without loitering.

Otherwise, a laundry mat might be another option.

Mark my word, there are single chicks in town, you just have to find them. You may be able to get online on say PoF or Tinder to find some too.

Yeah, my town has a Casey's too. I try to meet women at my local Wal Mart also. Tried POF before, but it's the same people on there when I was using it. I go to the gym 5 times a week so there's another place too.
