Every so often I see a topic recommending a movie or TV character to mimic because he possesses all the requirements to be a DJ. There's even a whole list of it. Reason why I recommend this show called Californication is because all those other characters are just too perfect, and the life we live, no one is perfect. Hank, the TV's protagonist, is far from that type of person always getting himself into sh!t, but he handles his situations well as if he came off fresh from a weeks worth of David X seminars to go along with stand up comedy sessions with the best of them. I'm only on the second episode and I've never seen the seduction world's most popular weapon, ****y and funny, used so well before.

Not to mention it's frikkin hilarious...and there's lots of nudity.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Agree totally with you that the guy exemplifies the 'DJ'. I also think that such a character in real life would get all the girls.

The only problem I have is that I find Hank totally repulsive. He's an arrogant, smarmy, vulgar tool. His whole routine is ****y and funny done to perfection. And yet I don't find him genuinely funny at all, just obnoxious.

This really highlights a big issue I have with increasing my game to be more successful with women. The guys that I see or read about who are most successful with women (take Tucker Max as an example) are people I despise as human beings. And yet of course this is what women seem to like.

Just makes me think you lose a bit of your soul in becoming desirable to these *****s. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not disagreeing with any of the DJ mindset, tactics, behaviour, etc, etc. I'm sure they all work well if you want to get laid, get a girlfriend or whatever. It's just a shame that it's got to be that way. Some of my best friends are shy, slightly awkward and ill at ease and yet once you get to know them they are some of the most interesting and genuinely hilarious people you could meet. Would women bother probing beneath the surface to find the amazing qualities of these guys? No, they would go for the ****y, swaggering douchebag. It just kinds of disgusts me.

Apologies OP, this has drifted off topic somewhat.

I love that show, and Hank is able to pull it off because the girls chase him, he never goes out of his way to get the girl they always just follow him. Rummple on the other hand is a total AFC as you'll notice in later episodes its quite sad.

Spoiler alert.

Spoiler alert.

Hank is a DJ with MAJOR onitis. Californication is the saddest DJ show ever where a guy with true, real DJ capabilities keeps getting ****ed for his onitis.
