Bye Bye Playstation

We've had some kick ass times together play station. I remember the day I bought the first metal gear solid like it was yesterday. It was a sunday, I just got off work from McDonalds, I put it in expecting some random shoot em up video game and not 30 mins later I knew i was in for an experience of a lifetime. I remember Resident Evil 2. I remember the first video basketball game I ever played where the announcer called the players name, NBA In the Zone, one of the first games out for PlayStation. All the names were wrong lol but that was still awesome.


I remember the ps2 and all the fun I had with it. Final Fantasy X. Twisted Metal Black with my drunk friends lol. Metal Gear 2 and 3. College Football.


I remember the first time i played metal gear 4 on the the ps3, to this day the best video game i've ever played. It's perfect. I remember getting into Call of Duty. Heavy Rain, Fallout, all those great games.


As I sit here looking at my ps4, i realize that my video game playing days are over. It's not you, its' me. You look better than ever. Mortal Kombat X IMHO is the best mortal kombat game ever put out, even better than the first. The games are amazing. But they just do not interest me. Right now, watching a world war 2 documentary on netflix seems more interesting, and not even close really, than playing Watchdogs, which i bought the day the ps4 came out and it's still in the wrapper. The one game that always had staying power with me was the NCAA football series, i could play that all day long, but they don't make it anymore


Ill keep it, I have a son even though he likes his (my lol)) super nintendo more than he likes the ps3/ps4, i guess beause he understands the games better. there's not much strategy in super mario world lol,, when he gets into first person shooters and stuff i'll put it in his room. But i guess i'm offically old lol. My video game playing days are over

I understand how you feel. I used to be a hardcore console gamer back during the days of SNES, PSone, PS2.... but when I got the PS3 I could already tell my gaming days were over.

I haven't got the PS4 yet due to the fact that I know I wont play it at all....

Of all the systems, the PS2 was the absolute GREATEST gaming console thus far with the PSone and SNES tied for second place...

This is true, I still have my ps3 and only use it to watch blu ray movies on the flat screen.

I never touch my ps3 anymore when it comes to gaming, it just comes with growing up.

I am more impressed with making money, and working for myself then playing games, I rather achieve those trophies then get fake trophies on playstation.

Sometimes you get older and interests change. For all the talk about video games crossing over to all ages so many guys I know have given up games in the past few years. Drinking too.

Personally I like cooking, antiquing, cycling, and fishing more than I ever did. Definitely more than video games and drinking. Call it a function of being inside all day but now I just want to be outside and moving around. I can appreciate someone's craft more now that I fix my own house and am responsible for what goes in it. And finally a good meal beats mediocre beer anyday.
