"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Wow...I just looked at my old thread and it was a big HIT (in terms of number of posts lol).

Anyway, no, I didn't give in. I never opened an account with her. And no, I don't expect her to chip in on the mortgage since she is still in college.

In the end, she now doesn't care about the house anymore. She doesn't want to get involved with the whole house buying decision anymore.

There was a time when I really liked to live with her, but after reading the replies here I realized that would be a mistake. I no longer have the desire to have her move in. And if this means the end of our relationship, I guess I'll juet let it be.

Thanks for all your valuable input. I love this site!

It puts a whole new slant on this situation if you read all of his posts. I'm guessing the downpayment for the house is coming from the joint savings account he opened with her two years ago. At that time she was still in college...but if she finished and has put any of her money in that account it changes things significantly.

She's angry and hurt because saving up to buy a house TOGETHER was an idea she came up with...and now he wants to do it without her after she convinced him to save up in the first place. In her mind, this is like the two of them planning to have a kid together in the future and her getting pregnant and telling him...I'll put your name on the birth certificate after we get married.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

No need to get technical on this issue. Signing papers with a woman you're not married to = fukking stupid. No if's, and's, or but's.

My neighbor is married to the same type of girl that you describe, loser2. His marriage is h*ll. Now she's trapped him with a kid on the way. Pretty fukked up. A girl tries to trap me, she gets sent on down the road.

I noticed a reference to my old post in there. We're gearing up on 6 months now, and she's slowly moving in, but what can you do? The relationship is going well, except for the normal problems. I don't mind her being there, it's easy to cheat if I wanted too, and truthfully, I could see us getting hitched on down the line. I sometimes think I get a little too cautious instead of just enjoying myself, so, I have different views on the living together stuff.

But as far as signing papers, wtf even made that thought cross your mind?
