i prefer high-omega 3 eggs, which may or may not be free-range/cage free.

their list of nutritional advantages includes less sat fat & cholesterol (who cares?) and 2x omega-3s. you can do much better than 2x omega-3s. (the ones i buy have over half a gram per large egg, and cost about $2.29 per dozen instead of $1 per dozen.

Do most stores carry "high-omega 3 eggs"? Are they just labeled as such? I don't remember ever seeing a carton of eggs like that.

every Kroger now carries them... I don't shop around too much. I recall seeing them at Trader Joe's, but they were a bit too pricey.

the ones I'm talking about trumpet the amount of omega-3. the hens are fed a special diet with flax, etc.
