I got banned from Bumble a few years ago. I've tried Hinge but it is nowhere near as good.
I have made multiple appeals with no success. I have tried being polite and promising to respect Community guidelines in future and expressed my genuine desire to find romantic connections and the personal growth I have undergone during the time I was banned. I have made threats to report them to consumer protection agencies and media outlets commenting on the undemocratic nature of the appeal process and their shoddy treatment of a long serving customer who has paid hundreds of dollars on subscription fees and also their retention of personal data of mine without my consent but that fell on deaf ears and I just get automated messages about how the decision has been carefully reviewed and is final etc.
I have also tried creating new profiles with different devices/phone numbers/email addresses etc. but within minutes they ban those accounts.
I have no idea what I did wrong and they always say to protect the integrity of their moderation process as well as their members they cannot share details and just make a vague reference to violating Community guidelines. I have heard said that if you get a certain number of reports you get an automatic ban and if you have been on the app for years and interacted with thousands of women it is probably inevitable that there will be the occasional misunderstanding or miscommunication or a girl is having a bad day or is annoyed at you for some reason. Certainly if you look on reddit etc. bans seem to be endemic.
Regardless of the fairness of it all the reality is that Bumble has a very large share of the dating market and is the preferred app of a lot of attractive women and it is a very efficient way to date so I want to figure a way to get back on it. Has anyone had any success working around bans or making successful appeals?
