"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Dear Jeremy Michael,
Great to find you posting here again,it seems like years....and that you are still hanging in there,Good for you....Aah...Bullies in Pubs,jobs,relationships...As a civilised Man you must appreciate that however it seems,it is not personal, not exclusively directed at You...To do otherwise is to be vain...Their problems go back years .....At six foot three you can easily just brush them off like annoying flies...But Jeremy,a man who flits over to Switzerland for a Sundays Business should move on from bottom feeding in Bars...great to see you back mate.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Hello Scaramouche,

Thanks for your nice comments - appreciated greatly. However I haven't posted in years, the above responses are from a post I start a few years ago. I'm still here lurking in the shadows but no news to post (on my love life) due to dating advice fatigue and I have been really busy with work!. Will post again soon.

All the best,

Jez

Hell Jeremy,
you live in the Home of Ballroom Dancing.....sign up for a set of lessons....your age will be no impediment....Yeah tough for six months then you will be able to Dance...Promise...Just learn Slow rhythm Foxtrot,Cha-Cha,Waltz and Swing....Take it seriously, develop a shorthand for the steps, write them down methodically, get a Dance CD,then practise at home on the carpet...after a few months have a session a week with a teacher...I promise you,if you can get past Rookie Camp, you will have at least half a dozen Birds, who you know, maybe a couple of phone numbers.go to Social Dances, they are everywhere in England...I Promise you will never go back to Pubs.

Dear All,
To the Macho Guys out there, fighting is like Swimming, you are statistically far more likely to drown if you can swim, than if you cant...If you want to play fisticuffs with the big Boys you will just get hurt,no matter how good you are.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
