"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Here are the top six reasons not to compliment women:
I've got to say, I still haven't made up my mind about giving women compliments. I know there are two contradictory sides here. Reasons #1 & #2 makes sense to me (they know they're attractive, they hear it all the time). But if you look at the featured articles on the top of the page, several advocate opening with a compliment. Deesade, among other guys here, uses compliments to open. I give my girlfriend compliments occasionally, but that's not the same thing.

I tend to think compliments are a good thing, as long as they are genuine and not coming from a place of neediness. Giving a compliment seems like a perfect example of giving value, yes? And it is better to give value in abundance than looking to receive value because you think you need it.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Really? Never a compliment? Why?
it depends on the girl basically.

if you're hitting on super hot girls, models, attention wh0res, etc. then never compliment

if you're hitting on average or below average girls, insecure girls, girls who are attention starved, etc. then compliments are great.

the idea is that a hot girl hears how hot she is 24/7(this is why hot girls would complain about being hit on by guys, they get it a lot.), an attention obsessed girl posts 10 selfies a week with the express purpose of getting to hear how hot she is constantly, all you'd do is feed her ego.

a particularly insecure girl or one who isn't getting compliments often for whatever reason, or one who craves attention but never gets it would most likely be on your **** in seconds if you start telling them they're hot. (though you may end up with a clingy, insecure, chubby girl who thinks you're soulmates after you fvck her one time)

the way to know if it was a good idea or not is in her reaction, regardless of how she reacts if she thinks it's a big deal that you called her hot then it was a good idea, if she shrugs and gives you a stock response never compliment her again

though like any rule, there are plenty of exceptions, if she already likes you compliments won't fvck anything up as long as you don't come off as a beta, if she finds you attractive then she probably won't mind a hot guy telling her she's good looking, if she's a slvt then she probably bangs guys for giving her compliments/attention anyway so you're good to go there, etc.
