Str8up-- Interesting topic and im glad this was brought up.

I'll be turning 26 in a couple weeks (I know, Im a youngster on this forum  ).

Most of you probably know Im a senior in college (which there is a long story as to why Im a 26 year-old senior) But let me tell you that I am the OLD man on campus. I literally deal with the age issue EVERY DAY.

I go to a smaller University, and most of the girls here are between 18 and 21.Im talking like 95%. Now 5 years may not seem like that much of an age difference, but in a homogenized community of 18-21 year old brats, 26 is ancient to them. Whenever I tell a girl my age i get an instant dramatic reaction. "oh my gawd you are sooo old!!" Ha, Ive even got the 'old wrinkly balls' comment a few times. Some of my good buddies are 20-21, and they break my balls about it endlessly...but i just throw puberty jokes right back in their face.

Interesting point about framing it from the get-go. Ive done this many times, without really knowing what i was doing, but ive also fallen into the self-qualification trap on many occaisions.

One of my favorite lines is "wow, I feel illegal just being around you". Works every time. I find that if a chick is really into me the age thing is not an issue, but it does get old having to do the whole "why are you a 25 year old senior??" song and dance. Get over it girls. Youth and beauty are depreciating assets. My success and professional value will almost certainly increase as i age, but one thing is an absolute certainty: Girls do not get any better looking as they age. Oh, how the tables turn. :D
