It’s true that you’ll need to be vulnerable WITH YOURSELF when you confront these internal problems that you have, but that does not mean the act of confronting them is being vulnerable in and of itself. In many contexts yes, in some contexts no. I don't cry often at all myself, can't even remember the last time, but there have been times where it's not healthy to keep it in and frankly I didn't give a fvck about how I was perceived. I don't see how you can confront something you don't acknowledge.

You may be the type of person who just powers through it, but most people can't do that. They need to be compassionate towards themselves before they gain the strength to improve. Many guys trying to fix themselves end up burning out because they unknowingly look down on their weakness and thus themselves, so they're essentially just smashing their head against a brick wall. Besides, you will have a better foundation for strength of you dare to reach the bottom first.
