"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

So, I've been seeing two ladies for the past few months and now they are starting to ask those questions and getting attached. It feels so heartless to continue dating a girl once you know she is crazy about you and you know you will never feel the same way. I am planning on telling them where I'm coming from, and not seeing them any more. I've never told them anything to indicate I loved them or that I wanted a LTR.

The hard thing is, is that I enjoy their company and they treat me like a king (so selfish). But the longer I extend things, the harder the fall is going to be for them. The 1 to 2 days I spend with them a week leaves almost no time to date new women.

What are some of your guys's experiences in dealing with this?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Try to think about it from the perspective of a dumpee.

Back in the day, I always responded to being dumped with rage, hatred at the woman who hurt me. Now I realize that this was just a coping mechanism, that I had no reason to hate these women. The thing is, it's an effective coping mechanism! When I break up with a woman I do it in the most bastard way possible, so that I can be certain she will end up HATING me. You may not consider my post relevant, because I have no interest in "breaking it off easy."

I don't want a smooth breakup that will leaving a woman heartbroken. I don't want her to think "God, what a sweet and classy guy, too bad he broke up with me I guess I'm just not good enough."

Quite the contrary, after I break up with a woman I want her to think "What a lousy, insensitive, cowardly b@stard! I'm lucky to be rid of that son of a b!tch!"

On to the rules:
It's never her fault. You want to break up because you want to fvck women other than her. Or maybe you're in love with a specific woman. Maybe you're just tired of her. Whatever your reasoning, don't sugar coat it. Be a bastard.

Don't console her. Hugging turns to kissing, kissing turns to making out. Then she wants one last "farewell fvck" and pretty soon she thinks you're back together. Or she thinks she can win you back or salvage the relationship or whatever. Consolation is leading her on.

Cut off ALL contact. Really, when you're getting over a woman it's essential to delete her number and cut off al contact. Women need to do it the same way, but they aren't always smart enough. That's why you need to do it for her, don't take her calls and don't respond to her letters or emails. If she approaches you in person just blow her off, like Tom Cruise blows off the paparazzi.

That's how man-hating women are made...and every poor guy she dates after you will end up paying the price.

yep

I agree with Wyldfire. That is one sure fire way to make b*tches, and probably one of the reasons for the existance of this site. You are definately not mature enough to be posting here.

Hey, sorry mates. I'm just trying to protect her feelings. Woman-hating is so accepted here, of course I would be villafied for caring about them.

edit: Something I forgot to say in my post. I especially endorse breaking up over the phone! Totally bastard, cowardly move that is sure to make her hate you.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

This is true. Best way is "cold turkey" no contact, and dont go where she could be, move on. Date other women, if possible and feasible.

Be straight and classy

The best thing to do when you want to break it off is to simply be straightforward, and tell her she's a great gal, but just not the right one for you. It's classy, and mature, and doesn't harm anybody's self-esteem. In fact, you just might still have FB possibilities with the gal somewhere down the line if you run into her, and you're both unattached.

I've done that as the dumper, and had it done to me as the dumpee, and there weren't the sort of hard feelings associated with jive-ass ways of dumping someone. Not only that, there's still good feelings and hella good chemistry when I run into those gals.

Good post, I'm also interested in hearing others opinions on this. I myself am totally at a loss as to what to do also, tellin them straight from the get go that you dont swing with the LTR thing only works on a select few but the majority always end up pulling your heart strings with guilt and to be honest I'm tired of it .

I know its probably only social conditioning but still...

good, itll teach the wimpy guys to grab their balls.
no problem for the men.:woo: :woo:

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I like bonhomme's post, even though Doc Love and some of them say to not worry about the girl's feelings, as they are not worried about ours when they dump us. That's true, but I'm not a mean person by any means, so it's a dilemma for me too.

I ended it with a girl back in the summer by basically doing what girls do to us, basically start backing away and slowly cut off contact. I don't remember actually what I did in particular, but it worked.

But regardless, superchrist's post is idiotic...
