breakfast for someone always running late!!

I am always running late to work every morning. I skip breakfast about 90% of the time. Well, I'm trying to pack on a few pounds, so I'm looking for some "breakfast on the run" help

I was thinking about having a protein shake and a banana or some instant oatmeal for some carbs. I need to eat something with high protein/carbs to get me through the morning.

Anybody here in the same situation?

Wake up earlier. If you can't wake up earlier, go to bed earlier. If you can't do that then rethink your sleeping schedual (IE: do you have insomnia? If so, get it treated)

Make no excuses ;)

I dont know what you should eat in the morning to gain wieght, but from past experience and common knowledge, I would say to eat a big meal right before you go to bed, you probably already know this, but I'm saying it just in case you dont. Because anything you eat in the morning will be burned quickly by your body, unlike things eaten at night before bed.

I use to have the same problem. So, I started buying those pre-made sausage biscuits. But they are full of fat, etc...

So, I've made it a habit, one night a week, (Sundays for me) I either make bisuits or use english muffins and a bunch of egg white pucks. (pucks= get a muffin/cup cake pan and fill each hole with egg whites and cook in the oven til done. 15 min).

I cut open the biscuits (in half) and put the egg white pucks in the middle. Then put two biscuits per zip lock bag and freeze.

In the morning, I make my coffee and throw a biscuit in the microwave. Ready in 45 sec...

When I'm cutting, I don't eat bread. I buy the egg whites in a carton. When I get my coffee in the morning, I put some egg whites in a microwave bowl and cook for 1 min. By the time I'm ready to leave it's cooled. I either eat it on the way, or throw it in a zip lock bag and eat it at work.
