"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

hello to all my fellow men. This is my first post and just wanted to say whats up. I started the BC yesterday (thursday) and I just wanted to start a thread to help me stay with it and to leave my feedback. I went to the mall around 2pm and it was pretty dead. I am pretty surprised with how many people avert their eyes when you try to make eye contact and say hello. Ive always (well at least for the last 5yrs) been a pretty friendly person and I usually greet people. I have never conciously tried to greet and make eye contact though. I have found out that a ton of people don't make eye contact. The only girl (HB= hot babe?) that I greeted worked at this piercing stand in the mall. She looked like she was real bored. I said as I walked by, "try not to look so excited" and this elicited a laugh out of her. On my way back I tried to make eye contact but got interupted by someone I knew from a previous job at a different mall. I did pick up a pair of diesel shoes from journeys in the mall from another HB but as I talked to her she told me about how her BF liked those shoes too. I wasnt going to ask her for her number but it was a good convo. Like I said ive always been pretty friendly and if I can keep from getting nervous im not too much of a chump. Anyways to make a long story short I said hi, to a grandtotal of 0 people unless you count my little joke and the shoe sales girl then it comes out to 2. I went to the gym today and was able to make eye contact with a couple people but bc of my mp3 player I really couldnt talk. Today is friday and I don't feel like going out but who knows. I'll have to take another crack at the mall tomorrow since that will be a sat and see if I can rack up some hellos for my BC progress. I have school on mon and wed and maybe I can bring up my score there. Any suggestions or feed back is welcome. Anyways nice meeting you and Ill get back to you tomorrow.
P.S. is the DJ bible a compilation of all of those articles that you can download into PDF or word. And if so do you just read them from top to bottom? Also, just to give a bit more background on me I am/was the nice guy. I wanted to find my true love. I made my life become a quest to find a girl and everything else was just kinda side tracking me. With the exception of school that always was first. So I guess I am officially a RAFC. I hope I can change that.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Ok, gentlemen today is sunday the 20. Last night I had a bit more success making eye contact and saying hello. Im up to about 10-12 people now. Half of those girls were not hellos but involved me making eye contact and then going up to them to talk. I went out to a local bar that gets pretty hopping with people my age and right away I started trying to make eye contact. The first girl that I made eye contact (7) was there with her friend who was proably a 8-9. I initially wanted to talk to the 7 bc I was a little intimidated by the 8-9. When I went up to the two of them I just introduced my self and then fed off of what they said. At first I kept asking questions about them. Then I would break off and say a little somehting about myself but immediately go back to ?s about one of the two. The 7 was kinda unresponsive but the 8-9 (her name was natalie) was very friendly and seemed like she enjoyed the nice conversation. It almost felt like it was a relief to her to have someone come just to talk to her that was not trying to pick her up (of course I wanted to but I am just trying to get used to the eye contact and hello thing). Anyway, towards the end of the conversation I kinda fvcked it up bc got a little nervous. I get nervous at the end bc I don't know how to end a conversation. Do I just say, "well it was nice talking to you Ill be standing over there if ya need me?" (yeah that sounds kinda stupid) Or I could say, "well it was nice talking to the both of you but i should get back to my friends?" (that sounds dumb too). Obviously there isnt one thing you should say at the end of the conversation but to me that is almost harder then going and introducing myself.
The next set of girls I talked to was later in to the night proably around 1AM. There were 3 of them and they just came and sat next to me and all my friends. I was with alot of people proably around 10 or 12. Well, my friends (which were mostly guys) seemed like they were drooling over these three (which were all 8s, so I decided to go spark up a conversation and see if I could bring em back over to my friends.
Ok, I think my first mistake was I got a little carried away, I kinda rushed in to it and didnt make eye contact first. So when I did come up to the three of them and introduce myself they seemed a little blindsided. Needless to say they were all pretty unresponsive and didnt seem to want to talk. After a few awkward minutes I ended the convo with, "well nice talking to you" and left.
Thats my update and I think reaching my goal of 50 eye contact/hellos will be pretty tough since I only have school once this week. Other then that your input and suggestions are much appreciated.

My boot camp journal day 4.

da-mn I am on day four and have only managed to greet/make eye contact with 20 people. Today at the gym I made eye contact with this HB 8 older too proably around 27-28. She looked at me for a few seconds and I managed a half smile. You know the kind where only half of your smile goes up, its almost like a smirk. She was still locking eyes with me and she smiled back after I gaev her that weak ass smile. I have a question though, I can't force a smile. Ive always taken bad pictures bc of this. The only time my smile looks genuine is when someone makes me laugh. I tried thinkin of funny shyt when I make eye contact and want to smile but then it turns out looking like I am laughing at the person and I look like I just came out of a psycho ward. Any suggestions to fix this. Ok, im off its monday night and I need to do some homework. Ive got school on wednseday I should have plenty of oppurtunities to make eye contact and greet then.

Damn I didn't make it :(

Ok good news is today is friday and I finished my first week of bootcamp. The bad news is I only made it to about 40 hellos. The eye contact thing is kinda new to me bc I don't have that good of a smile.. When Im not laughing it seems forced and its pretty obvious. So when I am making eye contact and I try to smile i proably look funny. On the other hand ive always been a friendly person and the hello thing is a piece of cake. When ever I get a chance i do say hello. Most people don't look you in the eye though. Do you guys still say hello even when people are not paying attention?

And today i will kick off week 2 of bootcamp. Tomorrow is my friends 22nd bday and I am going downtonw to a real trendy bar/club so i should have some good oppurtunities.

Till then
