Boonie hat as fashion?

As a day wear, casual, and even to work? I think unless you wear dress pants and shirts these are a good combination.

That's my farmer hat. It does a good job blocking the sun.

This would be great out here where I'm at in South East Asia, but I'm willing to bet several American expats are already wearing these.

Mind you, these are short brim boonies, not just some sun hats. Each one pictured is around $50. They are quite expensive.

Anyway. What I have found is that women love them! Boonie, in comparison to a hat is day and night. You do get noticed.

You wear them with cord at the back and really close to eye brows.
