The older i get the more i realize that reality is boring. There are very few things that give me a thrill. I feel guilty admitting this but one of the main things that produces an adrenaline rush is the thrill of approaching and closing with a beautiful women. Its no better rush then day approaching a gorgeous chick who is way outa ur "league" and getting the number. Your heart is beating but ur trying to keep ur nerves under control. Ur manipulating her with ur humor and charisma. Its similar to the high that people in sales get when they have made an unlikely sale. Its like your on stage or something. The only rush better then this is the dopamine/ adrenaline rush of walking in her bedroom and knowing ur gonna score. Doesn't happen much but when it does its awesome.

There is a short list of things that give me that level of pleasure. 1.) a good close sports game with my friends 2.) a good laugh with friends 3.) making music

I would like you guys to be honest. Where would you rank scoring with beautiful women in your list of things that give u pleasure. Becuz i find that life is pretty dull. Whether we admit it or not, we all kinda seek the company of pretty women to anesthetize us. I feel like a big drug addict chasing the next dopamine rush of a hot chick. This doesnt happen with average chicks but im talkin about 8.5/10's +.

Its like that qoute in the movie Wolf of Wallstreet when Donnie says "being sober sucks". He is kinda right. Reality is boring as hell. Its like we use hobbies or women to make this stuff tolerable.

Yeah, recognizable. Life is just a repeat, you need to look for those moments of pleasure in between. I find it in 3 things:

* working out
* dancing
* women

Not sure if women rate the highest on that list. In matters of getting that dopamine rush, I believe so. Not the approach itself, but kiss closing, making out, sexing, yeah...

good to know. i thought i was abnormal or sumthin lol. Life for most people is a pretty boring struggle of some sort. This is why i dont envy anyone's life. No one lives in constant bliss, not even celebrities. Everyone is on repeat looking for the next high.

Couldn't agree more with you...Sure scoring with a New Baby even if she is a bit down Market has to be the high point of any DJ's life!

Having said that,I must say that I find great pleasure in the arms of Lovers I have known for more than seven years...Why?...because I don't see too much of them,and I have Plates to prevent monotony...One gets tired of eating Steak and Eggs ever Day,variety is the spice of life...

How does one kill Romance?...Simple link it to the mundane boring realities of domestics and chores around the house...Scarras Mantra,Never let them get their feet cosy under your Table,go to their place for action and never see them too often....I think Rollo said once, "The greatest gift a Man may give his lover is his absense"so try and see them no more than three or four times a week,gives you time to spin Plates and indulge in the hobbies that make you interesting...

As an aside,it is so pleasing to see Die Hard enjoying his Dancing so much,I remember encouraging him when he first started Lessons,I would wager he doesn't know what it is like to be without Female company now!

Approaching and number closing does nothing for me. It's all routine. I've done it too many times for it to be exciting anymore, plus women generally flake between the number close and the first date. I don't get a rush until I'm out with her for the first time after we've met. I've NEVER had a woman cut me loose after a first date, so I know there's more coming my way by the time I get to this stage.

I get my rush from a few other things. Making music is one. Performing music is another, whether it be my own stuff or singing at karaoke. I also love doing things with regards to my website. Getting new readers or finding more links to it really gives me pleasure, because I know others are enjoying my work.

If I were to add one thing with regards to women, it would be going down on them and giving them an orgasm. That's a great sense of accomplishment

I tend to agree, but not the going down part. When I've got my head down, and I'm plowing away, and she suddenly flexes her body and squeezes me with all her might, that feels pretty goddamned good.

However, this, and pretty much everything else mentioned in this thread are all short term, ephemeral pleasures.

While they don't produce the same "peak" of pleasure, I find that working on long term projects, and slowly moving toward a HUGE goal out in the future is more of a driving force to action.

Nothing feels quite the same as looking at something you've created, something that's taken a long time and consistent effort, that plenty of other people appreciate.
