Pentagon announced that SU-24 bomber flew 12 times near USS Donald Cook, in Black Sea, imitating an attack. Pentagon official Steven Warren called these maneuvers scary, and inadequate, because it demoralizes the crew, and has negative psychological effects. He also stated that 27 crew members resigned from their position because they felt danger to their lives. :kick:

The only "news" sites reporting the resignations are Russian conspiracy forums.

It was a junky old jet stripped of weapons, the kind you can buy on ebay. It never got closer than a half-mile away, and it never flew over the ship. The Russians may have been testing their electronic warfare toys, but those are probably just as old and junky as the jet. Radar jammers were used in Vietnam; it's old technology that is easily defeated.

The USS Donald Cook is a 500 foot long Destroyer that carries enough weapons to wipe any major city in the world off the map permanently. Threatening that ship with an unarmed Soviet ebay jet is like trying to intimidate a tank with a bicycle.

Not sure how it is in Russia, but in the U.S. Military, you can't simply resign from your position whenever you feel the need.

Id advise you to get your news from less biased media outlets. Because you seem to have a very warped view of international politics and current events with regards to the East and West.

The numerous American news outlets on tv and online have more variety than Russian media, and despite that I still try and read and watch news produced from different companies and blogs outside the US.

You are truly misinformed if you believe an American warship is afraid of whatever youve got there in Russia. Putin wouldnt have the jock to commit any act of war against the US. He be signing the death warrant of citizens like you. And no, our soldiers are not allowed to "resign". There is no such thing. And considering there are much more dangerous situations our soldiers are currently in, in other parts of the world, why the hell would they be scared of anything Russia is doing right now?

Do you understand? Look at it this way, the U.S. has been the richest nation for a long time. The amount of money we have been pouring into weapon research is insane.

We have the most advanced weapons technology in the world. We also have the most resources to fuel a war.

Russia and China are trying their very best, but in a full out war they are heel biters. Even nuclear war, I'm sure we have a defense strategy that its beyond our comprehension.

The cost of having a full out war with the U.S. would be so devastating that even if you won (but you wouldn't) it wouldn't be worth it because your country would end up destroying itself.

There wont be any WWIII as open warfare since all the big powers have nukes and would rely on it rather than being invaded and anhilated.

The kind of war we should expect in future is the economic one and the cyber one... if you want to take a country, you dont bomb it, you use your banks and media to throw away their leaders and replace them with your vassals...thats pretty much what the us* are doing in Europe, italy and greece.
Considering that bankers have real countrol over nations, its not that hard.

When the country is not an "ally" you ignite revolts and riots as libia or ukraine and proceed in chosing a leader of your choice which will accept "economic aids" thus making such country slave by debt.
