I am in Paris for just a few days - tonight Friday is my only night alone. Where is an American guy (27) most likely to pick up a girl in Paris? I've had a couple french gfs before but they spoke English and we met in other countries. I have no idea how to go about picking up a French girl on their own territory. It doesn't seem like clubs are a good idea (but maybe so, which one?)

it seems like people mainly hang out at brasseries at night, but they are with their friends and speaking french. I don't speak French and I feel a little weird as a single American butting in on a convo in French.

Girls are gorgeous here, just don't know where to pick up a girl as an American alone in town!

Well, during the day you can act on the street like the lost tourist. ´Madam, excuze moi, you can you tell me where the Eiffeltower is´. When she speaks English keep her talking. When the conversation goes well and if you have the guts ask where you can have a drink in the evening and invite her!

Almost impossible to SNL a local chick when you're on vacation and don't speak the language unless you have the looks and charm of a young Hugh Grant.

Ha, speaking the local language increases your chances ten fold! Other than this, you are stuck with somebody who speaks english well and enjoys the cultural exchange. Like others say, just play the tourist card and go where the locals are and you can eventually pick somebody up or the most likely scenario they will pick you up ; ) P.S. in Spanish-speaking countries I ve picked up women on the street, in supermarkets, etc. By night you can shore some hookers as well, but the chances of getting freebies is not that high ( if you are into this kinda thing). If you meet a woman who is showing interest - just ask for sex straight up and go on an instant date. Also it is worth to have a local sim card to set up dates! In Europe it is sometimes worth to go to the country side and get aways from big cities to get laid with locals.
