"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

howdy,

i feel like i have to explore this as well. but with all this dating stuff, there's so much potential for suckering desperate people... a while ago, there was a story about yahoo getting nailed for baiting people with employees who pretended to be interested in guys.

so... any recommendations for best online dating sites?

thanks

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

It confuses me why a beautiful, 20 something, social butterfly, fun, deep, caring, loving, sexy, cool, down to earth, well grounded, career motivated, successful and whatever else they right on their profiles woman would resort to meeting men online. If she was really such a fantastic woman she would have men beating down her door.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

You answered your own question brother. Chicks as you've described do not scour the fvcking internet looking for love.

I'm sure you've met a couple internet b!tches who were a couple cans short a six pack . . .

it could just be another method at their disposal...

women may do the "choosing" but in a way, they are the victims of choice too. depending on their environment, sure, their doors may be getting beaten down daily but it may be by guys she's not interested in or losers, etc.

women choose but only among those who come at her. they don't really have the freedom to pursue on their own (of course, not strictly true but most girls do NOT exercise this freedom).

and sure, i'll bet a lot of girls are there because they're dysfunctional in someway but hey, as long as they're not dysfunctional in appearance, it might be something we can negotiate past....

i totally agree it's not ideal. and i wish i didn't have to resort to it. but right now, i should probably think about hitting every possible avenue of attack.

Because beautiful, 20 something, social butterfly, fun, deep, caring, loving, sexy, cool, down to earth, well grounded, career motivated, successful women can have the same problems men have, insecurities, lack of time to go out and meet people, desire to pre-screen somewhat (at least more so than can be done talking to someone for two minutes at a bus stop or coffee shop), tired of the type of guys she finds in clubs/bars, whatever, there are lots of reasons, some more valid than others.

A roommate of mine who was also a good friend fit just about everyone of those things you mentioned. She was 23, way hot, a manager of a strip club here in town making over 100k a year, and she could get laid/have guys buy her drinks/find a relationship every single time she left the house if she wanted to. Instead, she married a guy she met on the Yahoo Personals site.

I get what you're saying, it doesn't make sense why they would want to, but making sense or not, it happens more than you'd think. I've met quite a few girls from sites like HotOrNot, AmateurMatch, PlentyOfFish, eHarmony, and a few others, and while I expected to just use it to find quick FBs for a slow weekend, I actually did meet a few normal girls who (from what I could tell) met at least 3/4s of those stipulations up there.

I think HotOrNot was the most successful for me, lots of girls in my area, the mods catch most of the fake/spam profiles pretty quickly, it's really cheap to be a member 6 bucks a month or something, it costs me more than that to drive to a from the Strip one time, or even get myself a water at the clubs), and my favorite thing about it is that you can't exchange emails with anyone until you have both clicked yes to each other, so way fewer wasted time emailing girls that won't respond, if you CAN email them, then they've already shown the initial interest and you can go from there. I probably met over 30 girls on HoN, and banged nearly half of those that I met, and only two flakes that acted interested but blew me off.

I for some reason typed "been" instead of "men" so the last part probabaly didn't make sence.

I have never met a girl online because I have always felt deperate even talking to strangers on MSN, I mean I never really ahd any trouble with women so the intenet datign scene wasn't for me.

S1NN3R I still don't agree people always have time to go out, I agree with the 'insecure' part, I am sure a lot of those women are insecure. It's hard for me to belive that a beutiful, succesful woman would put her profile on a dating site. Women liek that have men begging for her attention.

Also the type of women I go for (classy, sophisticated, business women) have less free time than most normal women out there. Yet every weekend they manage to ger themselves to those classy clubs and meet people.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

The topmost quality women are not online. Cathrine-Zeta Jones doesn't have a Myspace profile.

Then again, all I need is an HB7 who exercises and respects me. So use whatever tools are there to get more girls, that's my take.

I don't. Most of the people I know don't. Hell most of the people I know usually work at least two weeks straight without a day off, then the two days they do get off is spent taking care of the important sh!t that they couldn't get done for the last two weeks because of work.

And women like that usually like having men beg for their attention, and they get even more of it when they put a profile online.

Catharine Zeta-Jones probably hasn't sit at a bus stop in her entire life either, that doesn't mean that you'll never find a quality woman there. Oprah doesn't have a MySpace either, does that mean you'll never see fat, irritating broads with bad hair and fcuked up eyes on MySpace?

And Kylie Minogue DOES have a MySpace. Point proven..... :D

Seriously, we could argue who should and shouldn't have some sort of online profile based on what traits they do or don't have, but I have met plenty of quality girls on dating sites, so all I can tell you is open your mind up a but to the option, you might be missing out.
