"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Hey Guys,

I'm a DJ that was in a LTR for three years after spending a few months studying. So I have to say the stuff worked. I'm a boston area native and will be getting back into the dating scene soon, but I do have to brush up.

I came across this craigslit post today and it made my think of you guys.

Why nice guys SUCK
Date: 2006-09-10, 9:19PM EDT

This is a long rant, so bear with me or hit your back button. I'm frustrated and in no mood for your **** either, so if you don't want to read it, well...

So I'm dating a nice guy now and it SUCKS. No other way to explain it, it just SUCKS. He's no challenge. He agrees with everything I say. He's got it all though - a decent job, a nice house, no kids, no psycho ex-wives, and he's tall and cute. Anyone ever seen that Friends episode when Alec Baldwin played Phoebe's boyfriend?? YEAH, my boyfriend is THAT nice. He's just too ****ing nice. Nice is boring. I've never heard him raise his voice. He's never aggressive. He has no edge. He won't even drive over the speed limit and that ****ing annoys the **** out of me, yet I sit in the passenger seat and keep my mouth shut... watching everyone whiz by us.

And don't get me started on the sex. Oh, excuse me... making love. After he cums (note I didn't mention anything about ME cumming), he rolls over and says "Oh, that was nice" with a little sigh. I KID YOU NOT, he says it EVERY TIME and then he sighs like he has just woken from a refreshing nap. I finally got so tired of missionary and him looking lovingly into my eyes and smiling as he came, that I threw him down on the couch one night and mounted him. At first he was terrified - yes, TERRIFIED. He thought something had possessed me. And it HAD -- it was sheer MADNESS. I ****ed the **** out of him that night. And then he sighed and said "Oh, that was nice".

Now that we had the cowgirl position conquered (always with that sigh afterwards), it was time to move on to doggie. His ex-girlfriend never did doggie (hmmm... maybe there's a "nice" ex-girlfriend to blame for his timid niceness?? That *****...). Anyway, I digress. I tell him I want him to **** me from behind. Yes, I used the word "****" and I didn't care what he thought about it. He gets behind me and enters me, and damned if he didn't say "OH, THIS IS NICE" !!! Are there any 35 y/o men out there that haven't smacked a woman's ass when doing her doggie?? YES, and he's my boyfriend!

Tonight during sex, I think I'm gonna tell him to stick his finger in my ass when I'm riding him. THAT should be interesting.

So for the nice guys out there, my advice is this: It's great that you're nice (to an extent), but have some backbone. Don't be a spine donor all your life. When your girl is out of line, say something. Don't let her walk all over you. Occasionally, be a "bad" boy (being bad doesn't translate to abusive or criminal). Say "No" to her sometimes. Raise your voice and be heard. Say something dirty/sexy to her occasionally. Drink a few too many beers and piss out in public. Smack her ass. Don't ever use the word NICE to describe things, especially sex (okay, that may be a personal pet peeve). Have an interest in at LEAST one sport (or pretend to). Drive 5-10 miles over the speed limit once in awhile. Run an old lady off the road just for kicks (yeah, I'm kidding about this one... just ride her bumper for a few miles). Be aggressive during sex. Take off those damn white socks and Jesus sandals. Grow a goatee for a few weeks. Shave your balls. Stray from your routine and shake things up.

BE A MAN FOR GOD'S SAKE... and the women will fall at your feet.

Whew... THAT FELT NICE.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Many guys' problem isn't that they are too nice. If anything, it's that they're too average.

Been said a hundred times... "nice guy" types often aren't nice at all. They are envious of successful men, they hate on themselves and others, they get upset easily, they are totally selfish, ego-maniacs who tend to think everyone is watching their every move so they can never just do what they want to do, they try tobe manipulative then become angry when it fails, they want to get lots of women while taking ZERO risk of rejection, they are "too good" to talk to anyone like a normal person and have to plot out elaborate strategies to "implant" ****me-now messages in their heads and believe in crap like Speed Seduction "weasal phrases"... in short they are often very creepy.

Geez, now I sound like one of them! Anyway, you get the basic idea. 'Nice guys' often should really be replaced with 'Creepy, Scary guys' due to their anti-social manners.

A nice guy post from a girl i came across today from craigslist:
------------------------------------------------------

Why this girl doesn't date "Nice Guys"

Let's define some terms first. You may not agree with these definitions, but I'm going to use them for this rant anyway.

Jerk: Someone who screws you, then unceremoniously dumps you or, while feigning a relationship with you, screws around on you behind your back.

Nice guy: Someone who wants to date you, then marry you. Would never cheat on you. Optional: thinks you're just the greatest thing that ever lived.

Nice girl: Someone who wants to be dated and married. Would never cheat on her spouse. Optional: thinks her boyfriend/spouse is just the best guy in the world.

OK. Why I don't date nice guys:

No, it's not because jerks are inherently more interesting. Usually they're shallow twits.

No, it's not because I'm a masochist.

No, it's not because I have subconscious fears of a "real relationship."

It's because I'm really not a "nice girl". Now, you'd never take me for a Sharon Stone ice-***** type. I'm certainly capable of being polite and generous to my friends and family, but:

I have a caustic, dark sense of humor completely lost on the average nice guy. Some of the things I think could never be uttered in such a guy's presence. Kinda indicates that my mind works in different ways, no?

I've had a lot of different experiences based on what I felt like doing at the time. Not all of those experiences are things that "nice girls" do. I'm not ashamed of them and I wouldn't be the person I am today without them. The "nice guys" I meet just haven't been where I've been. Either they haven't lived that much, or they have hard- luck stories as a result of their forays into unexplored territory. I'm not interested.

"Nice guys," when presented to you on a silver platter by a friend or other well-meaning person, tend not to be very attractive. But hey, they'll treat you right! Too bad. I won't date or bed a guy I don't find attractive. And no, a guy doesn't have to be gorgeous for me to find him attractive. He just has to have lived and have some sensuality about him.

The words "give him a chance," to me, are the beginning of suicide of the soul. Men are never told to do that. I want what I want, just like men have always had the right to do, and I will get it or remain celibate and unattached.

I don't act like a "nice girl." I don't smile sweetly, keep the conversation going, feign interest in boring topics, or do any of the other things that the nice girls do. If someone's being a fool, I look at him funny or I excuse myself to talk to someone more intelligent. As a result of my forthrightness, men approach me and in many cases are forthright about what they want from the outset. I can take it or leave it; it's not intended as an insult. The "nice guys" stay with the sweet, cheery girls, where it's safe. The not-so- nice ones, the curious, the adventuresome, and the restless, look for something different. Sometimes they find me.

In short: I like men who remind me of myself. They're complex, difficult, unpredictable at times. It's hard to stay with them. And no, they haven't been classic "jerks." It's just not that simple.

Can a woman find "true love" (what the hell is that) with anyone other than a "nice guy?" I don't know what true love is, if anyone thinks they know, clue us in, please. But she may have a damn good time. No, it probably won't be a 50-year marriage with 5 kids and 20 grandkids. It might not even last a month. But those brief moments may be more fulfilling than years of purported domestic bliss with a fenced-in yard and a fenced-in spouse.

to give you some general frame of reference...this are Nice guys I
can do without

Nice guys who think women are a separate species with their own "secret code" and/or vaginas with legs.

Nice guys who expect that their girlfriend is going to be their Best Friend, then their Lover, when they themselves can't even find a way to have any male best friends. Talk about suffocation! No thanks.

Nice guys who think they're making their partner feel good by saying how much they love to listen to her talk, but never add anything to the conversation themselves. You're not making her feel good. You're boring her to death. Stop staring at her with your chin in your hand when you go out to eat. You give her the creeps. She is NOT an animal in a zoo. And it's not HER job to keep up the entire conversation. Her ego is NOT so fragile that she needs to be worshipped.

Nice guys who lie and think that a decision not to call them on their first lie means we're not going to dump them when they do it again. In other words: stupid guys.

Nice guys who make friends with us and then think we owe them something more than friendship.

Nice guys who have no hobbies except sitting around wishing they had a girlfriend like all those cool guys on THE REAL WORLD.

Nice guys who, upon getting a girlfriend, feel they "don't really deserve her". This is insulting. If you don't think you are worth something special, then what you are telling her is that SHE picked a loser.

Nice guys who put women on pedestals. By worshipping her, you objectify and demean her.

Nice guys who think they're the ONLY amateurs in the world at love, and that when a woman doesn't want to have anything to do with them, they're hateful, spiteful *****es who are experts at hurting poor, poor widdle innocent nice guys. Yep, we all read books on how to do it. All girls receive secret, expert instruction from their gym teachers, usually in 5th grade in most school districts, about the ins and outs of love, while the poor nice guys are left to fumble around with no clues.

Nice guys who are too STUPID to figure out any other way out of their so-called predicament except to conclude that they have to become woman-battering heavy drinkers and sports players.

Nice guys who want a beautiful, attractive woman, but do little to take care of their own appearance. We're not talking about being a muscle-bound creep, but fer crissakes get some exercise! Take up some kind of activity or hobby that gets you off your flabby butt. Walk or ride your bike to work; go for walks at lunch; use the stairs instead of the elevator.... Do a coupla situps in the morning before your shower. How can you have ANY stamina in lovemaking if you get out of breath climbing a couple of flights of stairs?

Nice guys who sit there passively waiting for life to happen to them, instead of actively pursing their goals and dreams.
