I just wanted to share my thoughts with others on this. I've noticed quite a few interesting developments in my social life lately. I've been taking advantage of whatever opportunities come my way to flirt with women. I do this even with women that I don't necessarily feel attracted to, just to get conversations going and further improve my social skills. Recently, I've found myself in situations where women have been coming over to join me on my seat on my way home when the trains are packed. One was Puerto Rican, the other Jewish. The Puerto Rican woman had a beautiful face but was a bit too skinny for me. Nonetheless, when she sat next to me, I opened up commenting on what color of frames she had on with her glasses. We took things up from there and chatted for almost 40 minutes. She was open and very down to earth. She did tell me that she had a boyfriend, but it was all good. I saw it more like an opportunity to flirt.
"Don't worry. Your time will come," she said to me, smiling.
Days later, when the Jewish woman walked into the train, I heard her speaking Hebrew to someone on her cell phone but wasn't sure what language it was. So when she asked if she could sit with me, I opened up the conversation asking what language she was speaking. I found out she got to the U.S. two days ago and that we share similar interests-writing, listening to music, movies, etc. I didn't bother asking for her number because again, I saw it merely as an opportunity to flirt and improve on my social skills and I wasn't really attracted to her.
The most interesting experiences occurred this weekend. I went to a club and although I of course got turned down by many women who I approached and asked if they wanted to dance, I got a lot of attention and looks from them and it felt good. Matter of fact, one of those same women offered to hold my jacket for me, since it was hot in the club. I walked past men and women on the dance floor and I felt like a real alpha male. I now see why folks say that it pays off to lift weights. All of a sudden, women start looking for tricky ways to start conversations with you, such as the blonde bartender who said to me:
"Hey. I've seen you before. You come around her quite often. Would you like something to drink?" Trust me, I haven't been out to a club in centuries, ever since I no longer own a car.
Earlier on this weekend, I got an email from an average-looking woman just to test my game. She was walking down the street and I approached her and we walked together. When I first said "Hi" to her, she ignored me, but I remained persistent. I led her to a corner inside the mall she was walking into, so that she'll give me her number. I didn't back down. It paid off.
Did I get rejected this weekend? Yes, by several women. Did it have an effect on me? Not in the slightest bit. I don't give a ****, there's too many women in this country. For every "no" that I receive, there's a possible "yes" on the way.
But perhaps the most important thing that happened to me lately is that I ran into a woman who used to have a huge crush on me when we were undergraduate students in college. It's amazing how sometimes you think of a person, and then that individual just suddenly shows up. We did quite some catching up, sat on the train together, and she's expecting me to contact her so we can hang out.
My best advice to folks on here seeking self-improvement like me is this: While you benefit from the tons of advice and suggestions that you get on this forum, don't let your participation here prevent you from actually going out and trying to meet women. You have to apply yourself. You will get shut down. Shrug your shoulders. Don't let it bother you. Keep talking. The feeling of regret that takes over you for not approaching a woman you felt physically attracted to, is worse than that which you feel after trying and failing. During your spare time, come back here and participate. Practice, practice, practice. Test your game. Hit the streets, bars and cafes. That's the only way. If I spent all my time sitting on this cpmputer, I may not have ran into the woman who I mentioned used to have a crush on me.
