just how lame and pathetic it is. No offense to people that help others on this website and no offense to anyone that actually is still learning things from this site. But if you don't fall into one of those categories, then just take what you need, then get away. Start applying this stuff right away and learn as you go. Any delay and its just masturbation with no progress, despite the immense knowledge you acquire. Consider this website as a starting point. Even if you're learning from more experienced guys, you get to a certain point where you have to see it for yourself. More time in the real world makes you see just how out of touch people are online.
Some advice is necessary to know (safe sex procedures, qualifying women, looking for red flags etc.). I understand not everyone has a father figure or mentor to show them the ropes. Once you learn that stuff you never forget it.
But a lot of the content you see is just useless (looks debate, threads discussing hb ratings etc.) I know its intriguing at first and annoying to read about after a while, but its all pointless in the end. Everyone has their own opinion. People post their thoughts online to share and get people to agree with them, not so people could try to change their mind. There are better things to do with your time then spending it online talking to people you'll never meet discussing things that will never change.
And other content just wears down you're faith in humanity (women are evil threads, the decline of american women, threads discussing moral/ethical controversies etc.) Once you understand (and accept) the selfish nature of human beings, then nothing really surprises you. You just hope to see people do a good deed every now and then, but it shouldn't be expected and you can't get all self righteous when you see an injustice. After all, you are just as selfish as everyone else and no better than them.
As for me, this website (and others) has confirmed for me what I long suspected through my own observations. I discovered PUA, masculinity websites and sosuave in Spring 2007. Since then I've extracted the most out of my relationships with girls that were already attracted to me. Fulfilled many sexual fantasies and have enjoyed various types of women. I experimented and I've strategized. Even got married and divorced. I don't know it all, but I'm content with figuring out the rest over time instead of just soaking in every piece of advice online.
I realize not everyone is at the stage i am, basically outgrowing or growing away from sosuave. But I guess the reason its worth even writing about and sharing is that I only discovered this after taking some involuntary time away from the internet. I've had limited access to the internet and I don't really miss it except for things that have nothing to do with women. Today, I finally took some time go through all the new sosuave threads and just found it to be a waste of time. I also frequent other sites that have taken a more advanced approach to pick up, but they wind down a very dark and negative path.
Anyway, the take away for anyone still reading is this: go outside. Get some basics down and then get some real world experience. Over thinking is just clever procrastination. And soaking in all the information in the world doesn't turn you into the next Mystery. Just like watching sportscenter doesn't turn you into the next Michael Jordan. There's plenty of guys that have succeeded in life without ever reading a site like this. So, I suggest you quickly learn a handful of things you can apply right away to catch up on game and move on. Don't worry about getting an "advantage" on your competition because of sites like this. The real advantage comes from investing hard work in yourself in the real world, not in front of a computer. This is coming from a guy that has been where you want to be (in some aspects), I learned way more by observing behavior in real life than reading about it online. Sosuave and other sites can only point you in the right direction. The rest is just trial and error.
