ok so i just graduated high school so i figured i would post this here because A) Im not in High School anymore and B) this situation doesnt come up in high school.

I would consider myself like a 7.5 out of ten. better than average looking but i cant really attract the kind of women i usually hang out with just with looks. (not that i score 9's and 10's all the time at all but i do feel like i hang out with girls that are better looking than i am). Anyway i am not shy at all and i have done a little bit of approaching (not completely cold because that isnt really necessary in high school). However, i have never been approached by a girl before.

Today a girl and her friend came up to me in barnes and noble, only one talked, a very cute blonde. she said i looked like her friend, introduced herself, and asked to take a picture with me lol. which her friend proceeded to take.

I really felt like she was into me and definitely was giving me an opening but i froze up like never before. Couldnt think of anything funny or clever to say at all, and after the picture we kind of chatted for a few minutes and that was it. I felt like a total dumbass but i was just caught off guard.

Anyway that was a really long story but Im just curious how some of you might have handled it, and how you handle being approached in general. I was also especially thrown off by the fact that there were two girls there.

At first... in my experience, its a little awkward getting approached by girls... but if you have a " it is comfortable and completely normal to be approached" kind of attitude, you will go far. You did great wd40 for a first time, but as you get older this is going to happen a bit. The secret is too see them as little kindergarten girls who are begging you for candy... when your the babysitter. Accuse them of being paparazzi.... and joke around. and when it was my first time... i smiled like a jackass... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_X6OFAd638Us/SRYEK2oz-KI/AAAAAAAAAZU/jmloX8qHbrE/s400/donkey+smile.jpg

but did you ask them for their number? ...

nope no number, didnt even ask. like i said, i kind of froze up. i wasnt anitsocial or weird or shy or awkward, but i wasnt gaming really it all. after she took the photo i asked her where she was from (i'm in the bay area so when you see someone in walnut creek they could be from anywhere in the east bay) and then i asked her like if she was in college and where and i told her about where i was going to and then that was sort of just the end of it.
