OP, you should take the higher road in this case. The kids are young and immature, and you are on another level, right? I would have laughed it off, "kids these days" and then "now where were we?" Without being phased.

It sounds more like you were actually intimidated by these kids, and you are unhappy with that feeling. But they are KIDS. Remember that.
