While I think most people dislike conflict, I want to know what most people here think a pushover is. E.g, When it comes to petty and caddy stuff, I usually don't say anything and try and let stuff roll off my back. This is especially true when it comes to friends, family and co-workers.

E.g. The other day at work; a co-worker of mine was kind of talking to me in a condescending matter about something. While I was disagreeing with him back and not being totally complacent, I did not get condescending back.

On the other hand, I am not afraid to disagree with someone and share my opinion.

Hopefully, I am NOT a pushover.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

pushover is; changing your mind (actions) just to make someone else happy.

eg; you want to do something, but your g/f wants to do something else, so you do what she wants......do it enough times and you'll be an officaiall pushover.

Not standing up to idiots, does not make you a pushover.....in fact it can be "the thing to do" most of the times. (never argue with the idiot)

pushover happens in everything. Such as a conversation. You talking to someone, and they try to bring you down and lower your value. There is a reason for that, they perceive me as being better than them. If you allow them to bring you down, then you're a pushover.

It could be very little things that aren't true. If you knock them off right away, people give you more respect and are drawn to you. Like you become thier leader.

Pushover is also other, bigger things. But, I believe the root of pushover begins in conversations, including body language. You got a guy staring at you, look back until he looks away, same with women.

Pushover is a refusal to challenge the world, mentality where there is no room for a step forward, no self respect.
