She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

So I got a very rare glimpse behind the curtain today.

Usually in relationships once it's over that's it - never see or hear from them again and move on. Earlier my ex gf's now ex housemate called me and we spoke about stuff and he revealed she had jumped on the CC and been banging some less than great looking guys. Even snapped his GF a pic of some brother in her bed a long while ago, the clown.

I feel absolutely nothing negative, I thought I would care, I actually feel better knowing this. If he said she had been seeing this guy and things are going well it may have got to me. Instead he painted a rather depressing picture and I feel like the overall winner here. No repeat business, staying home a lot being grumpy. This shouldn't make me happy, someone else's unhappiness and no doubt lack of self worth, but it does. I feel great.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
